What exactly are 'satta' bazaars? I understand people betting on sports but never understood people betting on who will win LS polls.
By nature they . get a kick out of gambling and winning bets, so they are chronic gamblers. Can be best ignored.

Italian journalist Francesca Marino pieces together an investigative account of #IAF’s #Balacot strike, says 130-170 #JaisheMohammed terrorists & several Pak army trainers were killed in the strike on Feb 26. Read! ⁦@OfficialDGISPR⁩

BALAKOT: MORE DETAILS REVEALED
BALAKOT: MORE DETAILS REVEALED

07-May-2019

Despite Pakistan’s efforts to deceive the world on the Indian airstrikes on the Jaish-e-Muhammad camp, small details of what happened in Balakot in the wee hours of February 26 and thereafter have kept trickling in from my source. This article is an attempt to piece together all the informations I gathered and to fill the gaps into what it has become the jigsaw puzzle of the Balakot strike.

As it is well known now, the IAF strike was carried out at around 3.30 am. According to my informations, an Army unit, from their camp in Shinkiari, arrived at the location of the strike on February 26 at around 6 am, two and a half hours later. Shinkari is around 20 kms away from Balakot, and the Army unit would have taken around 35-40 minutes to reach the location from where the climb to the camp begins. Incidentally, Shinkiari is also a base of the Pakistan Army, with the Junior Leaders Academy (JLA) located there. Immediately after the Army unit arrival, the injured were taken to a Harkat-ul-Mujahideen camp, located in Shinkiari and treated by Pakistan Army doctors. Local sources say around 45 persons are still undergoing treatment in this camp, while around 20 have died during treatment due to serious injuries. Those who have recovered are still in custody of the Army and have not been discharged. Based on the different inputs that have been gathered over the last several weeks through my contact, it can now also be safely said that the impact of the strike immediately killed a large number of JeM cadres. The numbers estimated have ranged from 130-170, including those who have died during treatment. Those killed included 11 trainers, ranging from bomb makers to those imparting weapons training. Two of these trainers were from Afghanistan. To prevent news on the fatalities leaking through statements of family members of cadres, a group of JeM members also visited the families of those killed and handed over cash compensation to them. Adjacent to the Blue Pine Hotel, located on the foothill from where one starts the trek for the JeM camp, is a freshly painted signboard that indicates the presence of the Taleem-ul-Quran on the hilltop. Unlike the earlier board, all links to JeM leader and now internationally proscribed terrorist Masood Azhar has been removed. The camp area is still under the control of the Army, with a Captain rank officer of the Mujahid battalion in command. The access to the dust track leading to the camp is still restricted, even to the local police. Apart from a few children and 3-4 teachers, the camp has been cleared of any traces of it earlier being a JeM camp. Meanwhile, inhabitants of Bisian township, near the JeM camp, still discuss of some locals having noticed vehicles dumping rubble in the Kunhar River during the first night after the strike. There is also talk about the JeM leadership having assured its cadres that the group will take its revenge when the time is ripe.

mafia queen's mother's involvement proves the sinister and malevolent of offshore BIF forces in the entire ltte affair.

this is how the specific desert religion denomination gained a stranglehold on the body politic of India as well as the domination over all the four pillars of the Indian democracy by becoming the completely diabolical and all important fifth pillar, operating from the shadows of the republic and devouring and digesting the country from within. The host is still largely unaware of the malicious parasite that it has been hosting since even before independence.

HIGHLIGHTS
Right-wing ideologue tears into Congress’s own dubious history of appeasing Rajiv Gandhi’s killers for political gains, counters Priyanka Vadra’s karma jibe at PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi: Congress scion Priyanka Vadra has questioned PM Narendra Modi’s karma for his “Brashtachari No 1” comment about her late father Rajiv Gandhi, but karma slur has boomeranged on the Gandhis. Right-wing ideologue S Gurumurthy has now questioned Sonia Gandhi for allegedly secretly establishing links with Rajiv’s assassin LTTE to wean over the DMK from NDA for an alliance with the Congress in 2004.

In a series of tweets, Gurumurthy referred to his 2008 newspaper article in which he had claimed that Rajiv’s widow Sonia had sacrificed the death of her husband on the altar of politics.

Speaking exclusively to MyNation, Gurumurthy said Sonia Gandhi had contacted Rajiv’s killer and LTTE chief V Prabhakaran for getting the DMK’s support for the Congress. This after she had pulled the plug on the United Front government in 1997 when it refused to expunge the DMK. The Jain Commission of inquiry suspected the DMK of having a hand in Rajiv’s assassination.

Betraying one’s own?

“According to the information I had from a third party, the Island Newspaper in Sri Lanka, which I had substantiated from my own sources back then and which I obviously cannot reveal, said that when Sonia Gandhi wanted to enter politics, she did not want any hostility with the LTTE. She said that the killers must not be hanged and that she had forgiven them. Secondly, she wanted them to support her,” Gurumurthy said.

“She could not have sent Eduardo Faleiro to Prabhakaran and Sonia’s mother Paulo Maino could not have met LTTE interlocutor Anton Balasingham by just calling up. There must have been some very powerful interlocutors facilitating it. And there must have been some pre-existing relationship between interlocutors and LTTE. So who are they?” he added.
“If you can make a deal with the killers of your husband for politics, what is your karma? She traded her husband’s death for politics,” Gurmurthy said.

“She did not pursue the investigation into the conspiracies behind the assassination with the Multi-Disciplinary Monitoring Agency (MDMA) formed in 1998. She did not once pursue the matter during the UPA rule,” the ideologue added. “This is much worse karma.”

The Twitter salvo

Meanwhile, Gurumurthy shot a series of tweets on the matter. “With Sonia's entry into politics all her commitment to get her husband's killers to book evaporated. Afterwards she sought peace with her husband killers. She begged main conspirator LTTE's support to get its fan DMK to shift from NDA to UPA which was crucial to win 2004 poll,” he tweeted.

“In 1999 she told President KR Narayanan privately neither she nor her son and her daughter wanted any of the convicts sentenced to death for killing Rajiv to be hanged. Thai was revealed by Mohini Giri (ex-head NCW) See Frontline magazine friendly to the Left Nov 5-18 2005,” he added.

In another tweet he said, “Sonia was not in politics in 1997 when she demanded action against DMK for associating with LTTE to kill Rajiv. But after locked Sitaram Kesari who had gone to toilet & sat in Congress presidential chair, she changed. The first thing she did was to befriend her husband's killers.”

“Sonia's & her mother's secret moves to beg LTTE's pardon seemed to have started ahead of Dec 2003 when DMK & congress appeared to have agreed on the alliance. In Jan 2004 Sonia met Karunanidhi and firmed up the alliance. In 1997 in Amethi she had hinted DMK was a fan of LTTE,” he added, claiming, “Sonia pulled down UPF govt in 1997 because she wanted DMK accused by Jain Commission as being part of the LTTE conspiracy to kill her husband Rajiv, out. In 1997 LTTE & DMK were killers of her husband. In 2004 they became her allies. @RahulGandhi what about Sonia's karma?”

Another ploy by a cabal of vested interests bites the dust as CJI Ranjan Gogoi outsmarts them

In the recent past, we saw a curious turn of events as allegations of sexual abuse were leveled at the Chief Justice of India (CJI), Ranjan Gogoi and that having failed, some fringe elements are planning street protests. Though many lawyers accuse the perennial accuser and feminist lawyer Indira Jaising for raking up or helping a dismissed lady staffer in preparing petitions alleging sexual abuse charges, the recent protests engineered by certain Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) give wider ramifications to this case. What is their motive in accusing a 65-year-old Gogoi, who has never been caught in such allegations before?

Gogoi’s temper

In legal circles, Ranjan Gogoi was infamous for losing his temper off and on, thereby creating many enemies due to his obiter dicta (off-the-record speaking or utterances) or uncontrolled comments at petitioners. In his entire career, he was known as a strict person who tends to lose control often. He is set to retire on November 18, 2019, and some people or lobbies are fed up with him and want him to resign, say many lawyers who are in the know of the current developments. These NGOs and disgruntled lawyers might be behind this rent-a-cause move to malign the CJI, they say.

Lobby at work?

PGurus contacted several advocates and journalists on the Supreme Court beat. They point out a dirty corporate lobby behind this entire episode. All these things were engineered after two Court Masters were dismissed and are now facing Police probe on the manipulations in the Order involving Anil Ambani’s Rs.580 crores due to an Ericsson-related contempt case. After Gogoi became the Chief Justice as many as six to eight such fraud staffers were terminated and this lady happens to be one of them. So there was a huge discontentment brewing and some people have encashed their anger, said a very senior Advocate. He adds that certain elements in the Government, Intelligence system and a big lobby of politicians-cum-lawyers cutting across party lines, and some perennial petitioners who were not so happy with Ranjan Gogoi’s unpredictable nature tried to get rid of him through this malicious allegation. “They thought on the day media splashed the news, Gogoi would resign,” he said.

Anyway, the case is over after the ex-lady staffer boycotted the in-house proceedings. Now the Communist Party of India (CPI)’s women wing National Federation of Indian Women (NFIW) is conducting stage-managed protests on the streets. This small organization’s General Secretary is Annie Raja, the wife of CPI National Secretary D Raja. For the past 15 years, its President is the former IAS officer Aruna Roy, who is a close confidant of former Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Activist lawyer Prashant Bhushan is also seen supporting these protests and supporting the allegations of the dismissed lady staffer, caught for malpractices. Many Gay-Lesbian activists were also seen in the sparsely attended protests. In fact, there were more media persons than protestors, which leads one to question the motives of this uncouth cabal.

But some lawyers say that there is also a role for certain elements in Government in engineering this sexual abuse charges. Some accuse Congress leadership of backroom operations in the entire episode, firing from the shoulders of CPI and the rent-a-cause NGOs. Those who doubt the role of certain Government elements point out that this lady was in touch with Delhi Police and Intelligence Bureau officials from January, citing her complaint pending in Union Home Ministry in January. They accuse, the Deep State of bargaining or sending messages to the CJI and argue that Congress’s top leadership was not happy with the stands of the Chief Justice in several sensitive cases ranging from National Herald, Rafale case, etc.

At the outset, it is very clear that many are unhappy with Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and they got a good item to BLACKMAIL him. Many thought Gogoi would resign. But Gogoi outsmarted all of them by not resigning and declared his intent to finish his tenure till November 18, 2019.

Congies tried to flip the plate and accuse the BJP of trying to intimidate the CJI using this episode. Brazen attempt, given that all visible faces of this episode are the usual pro-Congi suspects such as Dhoti, Jaisingh and Bhushan.

Unfortunately, Chinmayi Sripaada seems to have fallen for this trick and wants to take to the street in protest against CJI. She has generally been a RW voice.

Did Modi misquote the year for digital camera / email comment in one of the interview? Did he mean 1998 instead of 1988?

^^^ He probably did. But IMO, much ado about a trifle. Whether its this digital camera/email comment or that cloud cover statement (which according to experts on BR is not a gaffe at all), his haters like UndY have been having a field day. I doubt it will live another 24 hours. I think in the heat of the election campaign, he may have mis-spoken, but these were not so colossal gaffes if at all that his haters are making them out to be. At least on the cloud cover, I am pretty sure IAF was on board, it was not as if ModiJi completely overruled the IAF as that chutiya Vishni Som was barking to that slime-ball Sreenivasan jain.

But that said, as ModiJi himself said in one of the many interviews he gave, the so called fact-checking vultures who hate his guts are going to pounce on any opening they sense, and won't cut him any slack. That bimbo Omar Abdullah's keep went so far as to claim that because of ModiJi, Indian science is suffering. What a bunch of ass holes. To this end, ModiJi needs to be careful with what he says for another week.

derek nobrain's brother migrated to pukiland and decades later was tracked down by nobrain with much difficulty in pukistan.

nobrain was then bitterly disappointed to discover that his brother had converted to islam, taken a muslim name and was for decades living as a muslim, forsaking both his religion and his ancestry.

Blasphemy of Aasia Bibi: How Pakistan’s Christians went from cheerleaders of Partition to its victims

Blasphemy of Aasia Bibi: How Pakistan’s Christians went from cheerleaders of Partition to its victims

Christians are safe in India only as long as Hindus are a majority. If Muslims ever take control of the country through demographic warfare, they will erase Christianity from India. If you have any doubts just look across the border. Remember, Pakistan is India without Hinduism.

Rakesh Krishnan Simha @ByRakeshSimha, 13-05-2019

Pakistani Christian woman Aasia Noreen, who spent nine years on death row after being accused of blasphemy, is a free person at last, but her community is everywhere in chains in Pakistan. Christians, who make up around 2 per cent of Pakistan’s population, occupy one of the lowest rungs in the country’s class-bound society. Largely ghettoised, they live in slums and are condemned to working menial jobs as sweepers and toilet cleaners. Christians such as Noreen also face daily discrimination in their villages where their mere touch or presence is considered polluting.

It was a combination of religious fanaticism and social intolerance that led to Noreen and her family’s decade long trauma. In June 2009, Noreen, also known as Aasia Bibi, was harvesting berries in Sheikhupura, Pakistani Punjab, when she was asked by her Muslim co-workers to fetch water from a nearby well. While doing so she took a drink herself – a perfectly natural act, considering the sweltering heat of summer. One of the Muslim women named Musarat, who had been involved in a property dispute with Noreen’s family, saw her and told her it was forbidden for a Christian to drink water from the same utensil from which Muslims drink.

Some of the Muslim women also said they considered her to be unclean because she was a Christian. According to Noreen, when her co-workers made derogatory statements about Christianity and demanded she convert to Islam, she responded: “I believe in my religion and in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for the sins of mankind. What did your Prophet Mohammed ever do to save mankind? And why should it be me that converts instead of you?”

Fired by her religious zeal and perhaps believing in the superiority of her Christian faith, and her humiliation by her Muslims co-workers acting as the catalyst, it is understandable why Noreen would make such a rash and dangerous statement. But while she may have got away with her statement in India – where Christians routinely abuse Hindu Gods and Goddesses – in the ‘Land of the Pure’ people have been lynched for much less. In a country where the discovery of torn pages of the Koran can lead to mob violence and murder, Noreen had said the unspeakable. When she was arrested and presented at court, the prosecution said it would not say or write her exact words in the charge sheet because the mere mention of the blasphemy charge would be considered blasphemy.

It is a measure of how strongly Pakistanis feel about Noreen that she spent much of her prison time in solitary confinement over fears she could be attacked by a guard or another prisoner. In fact, two politicians who defended her were assassinated; and in one of those cases the killer Mumtaz Qadri was raised to the status of a saint.

Great betrayal

The reality is that Pakistani Christians are paying the price of backing the Partition of India in 1947. Indian Christians, who should have been loyal to the country of their birth, were more enthusiastic than the Muslims about breaking India. This proves Swami Vivekananda’s statement that the moment a Hindu converts to Christianity, his love for the motherland is replaced by loyalty to his Western masters. Alluding to the threat presented by converts, he said: “Every man going out of the Hindu pale is not only a man less, but an enemy the more.”

Indian Christians played the role of India’s enemy to the hilt. In a paper titled ‘The Role of Christians in the Freedom Movement of Pakistan’ Munir-ul-Anjum and Shahnaz Tariq write that the Christians supported Mohammed Ali Jinnah and All India Muslim League when there was substantial opposition to Partition within the Muslim community. Some Muslims especially the religious leaders did not hesitate to dub Jinnah as the British agent. The Christians paid no heed to these remarks and continued supporting Jinnah. (1)

Christian leaders who played a significant role in the Pakistan Movement were Dewan Bahadur S.P. Singha (speaker of the united Punjab Assembly later speaker of the western Punjab Assembly), Advocate Chaudhry Chandu Lal, Fazal Elahi, photographer journalist F.E. Chaudhry and B.L. Ralia Ram.

How it panned out

In accordance with the Cabinet Mission plan for the partition of India after the 1946 general elections, Muslims voted for the Muslim League in support of creation of Pakistan. In 1947 the provincial assemblies were to decide the issue of partition. When Punjab Assembly was asked to vote, it was equally split.

Pakistani author Dr Samiullah Koreshi explains the role played by Christians at this critical juncture in India’s history: “At that time S.K. Singha, a Christian was the speaker of the Punjab Assembly. He cast the casting vote for Pakistan. Thus he played a role in Punjab going to Pakistan. On this occasion, Master Tara Singh jumped out of the assembly waving his kirpan as a signal for taking revenge on Muslims. His words were reported by the press. Thus, a Christian vote led to the democratic choice in making Punjab a part of Pakistan.” (2)

Referring to the “sympathetic role Christians played during the Pakistan movement”, Koreshi points out that Mohammed Ali Jinnah “appointed a Christian, Pothan Joseph, as the first editor of Dawn, Delhi, the only main English language daily to promote Pakistan movement”.

Pakistan got Punjab, thanks to Christians

According to Munir-ul-Anjum and Shahnaz Tariq, “The support of Christians for the cause of Pakistan was based on their belief that the Muslim society in its nature was more secular than the caste ridden Hindu society hence more permissive for the rights and safe guards of the religious minorities.” (3)

“Christians strongly supported Quaid-e-Azam and Muslim League at that critical time when there was lot of opposition to the formation a new Muslim state. The All India Christian Association assured unconditional full cooperation to the founder of Pakistan. This crucial role of Christian population of the region was recognised by the founder of Pakistan and the All India Muslim League at all levels. These Christians played a very strong role in the creation of Pakistan….The Christian vote before the Boundary Commission was the only decisive vote for the true foundation of Pakistan. Christian leaders voted for Pakistan because they believed that Quaid-e-Azam would be the real protector of their rights and interests.”

In the last days of united India, Jinnah visited Lahore – where many Christians lived – as a part of his campaign to fetch the support of the minorities. He met the Christian leader Chandu Lal and Sikh leader Giani Kartar Singh. The Sikh leader turned down his offer while Chandu Lal declared unconditional support of the Christians for Pakistan. When the resolution to join Pakistan or India was moved and voted upon in the Punjab Legislative Assembly, the three Christian members voted in favour of Pakistan and saved the situation. Eighty-eight and 91 votes were cast in favour of India and Pakistan respectively. In this way the three Christian votes decided the fate of the province.

The Christian community as an expression of affection for Jinnah arranged many historical receptions in his honour for supporting his cause.

More loyal than Muslims

In the early 1930s when Cambridge undergraduate Chaudhry Rahmat Ali came up with the idea and name of Pakistan, it was an Indian Christian who first backed the idea with his own spin. Well known Christian leader Joshua Fazal-ul-Din wrote in the daily Inqilab that the areas comprising present day Pakistan had a direct relationship with Central Asia and therefore had no connection with the rest of India. He said that he was “in harmony with Rahmat Ali regarding the separation of this territory from India as it was in accordance with the voice of God”.

Pointing out the significance of Joshua Fazal-ul-Din’s support, Munir-ul-Anjum and Shahnaz Tariq write: “It is worth noting that at the time when the idea of Pakistan was considered as the brainchild of Rahmat Ali and many prominent Muslim leaders treated it as childish and impracticable, Rehmat Ali impressed by the statement of Joshua Fazal-ul-Din wrote in a later article that Pakistan would be a democratic country and all of its citizens irrespective of their colour, race or religion would be equal in the affairs of the government.” (4)

Either Joshua Fazal-ul-Din was a complete fool or he was possessed by some kind of Abrahamic zeal to split India so that it would not be led by Hindus in a democratic form of government. Perhaps in his Christian worldview – which is shared by the likes of demagogue Kancha Illiah and many Indian Christians – only if India splits up into hundreds of small units would it be easier for Muslims and Christians to conquer it for Christ and Allah.

In 1928 an all-parties conference was held at Kolkata to deliberate about the future constitutional arrangement in India which could be acceptable to all concerned. This conference appointed a committee headed by Motilal Nehru to propose a constitutional formula which could achieve the agreement of all the communities. The committee presented its report which is known as the Nehru Report, but Jinnah rejected it saying that Hindus by virtue of their overwhelming majority could dominate all other communities.

The All India Christian Conference along with other minorities also rejected the report, expressing their lack of confidence in the Hindu leadership. In their unwitting stinging indictment of Indian Christians, Munir-ul-Anjum and Shahnaz Tariq write: “Well before the presentation of the Nehru Report, when Iqbal was claiming that ‘Hindustan is the best in the whole world; we are its nightingales and it is our home’, and Jinnah was portrayed as the ‘Ambassador of Hindu-Muslim unity’ by Sarojini Naidu, at that the moment a Christian leader Joshua Fazal-ud-Din was very much clear and said that those believing in Hindu-Muslim unity were living in a fool paradise as any such attempt would make India a war place. Not content with breaking India, the Christians denounced and condemned the “unfair” distribution of Punjab province more forcefully even than the Muslims and tried their best to get the districts of Pathankot and Gurdaspur – currently in India – included in Pakistan.

When the proceedings of the Boundary Commission took place, Christian leaders S.P. Singha, C.E Gibbon (an Anglo Indian) and Fazal Elahi, in their recorded statement, demanded that for the demarcation of the boundaries, the Christian population be included and termed as Muslim population.

Chaudhary Chandu Lal served as a lawyer for the Christian community. He visited Pathankot and Gurdaspur and got a resolution passed by the Christian population in these districts to the effect that they wanted to be included in Pakistan. C.E. Gibbon appeared before the Boundary Commission to demand that Lahore must be part of western Punjab and that all the Anglo Indian Christians be transported to Pakistan as it was considered to be their final destiny. When the Radcliffe Award was announced in August 1947, it was taken by the Christian as a tailored decision aimed to create problems for Pakistan economy while facilitating Indian occupation of Kashmir. (6)

S.P. Singha raised his voice against the award, saying that as the principle of majority had been brutally crushed, it was one sided and unfair to Pakistan. Clearly hypocritical, because the same Christians had earlier rejected Hindu majority rule.

Karmic blowback

When the storm of Partition arrived, it totally shattered Punjab. While Sikhs and Hindus became the biggest victims of Islamic jehad unleashed by Muslim League goons, the Christians who had hoped to benefit from the exodus of Hindus and Sikhs were left holding the pan. Christian leaders were practically salivating at the prospect of getting some of the land abandoned but they got nothing. In retrospect that was kind of expected as Muslims are clear to this day that because Pakistan was created for India’s Muslims, other communities should not expect anything.

Some 60,000 Christian families who had been tenants of Sikh landlords were now homeless and without employment. Much of the evacuee land had been distributed among the Muslim refugees, and each family had received from six to eight acres, but these Christians who had managed to make out a living under the Sikh landlords had been ignored completely and whatever little land they tilled has been given over to the refugees.

And yet Singha behaved in a churlish manner. Instead of holding to task the new rulers of his chosen country – which had effectively disenfranchised and pauperised the entire Christian community – he blamed the Sikhs. Speaking in the Punjab legislature on January 20, 1948 he deplored the Sikhs for leaving for India, and “for leaving behind a legacy of misery and suffering for the Christians”.

Seeing the ground slip away under the feet of the Christians as their chosen homeland showed its true jehadi face, C.E. Gibbon said in the Punjab legislature: “I beg to ask for leave to make a motion for the adjournment of the business of the House to discuss a definite matter of urgent public importance, namely, the grave situation arising out of the policy of the Government in respect of the wholesale eviction of Christian Sepis Athirst and tenants from their home holdings and lands without providing any alternative means of shelter and livelihood, thus rendering nearly 3 lakhs of Christians homeless and on the verge of starvation, the consequences of which are too horrible to imagine.” (7)

Modern day Abrahamic hell

Pakistan is a hell for its people, especially those who are non-Muslim. Noreen’s case became a cause celebre because she was incarcerated. Had she been lynched, which is the most common fate of those accused of blasphemy in Pakistan, she would have merited a single column mention in an Urdu paper. Even children are not spared – in February 1995, two Christians were sentenced to death on dubious charges of blasphemy; one of the accused, Salamat Masih, was 13 years old. In 2012, Rimsha Masih, a 14-year-old Christian girl suffering from Down Syndrome, was wrongly accused of burning the Koran. After months of hiding in Pakistan, she was relocated.

In view of the growing Islamic fundamentalism in Pakistani society, things are likely to get much worse before – or if at all – they get better. The number of blasphemy cases has risen in direct proportion to the incremental stringency of the laws. There were only a handful of such cases until 1984, when Zia barred Ahmadis from using Islamic terminology and made blasphemy punishable with life imprisonment. Nawaz Sharif’s government did one better in 1992 by changing the punishment for blasphemy into a mandatory death penalty. Accusations of blasphemy against non-Muslims, more often than not, provide a moral cover for settling personal scores. No one is safe from the charge in Islamic Pakistan, says Ayesha Jalal.

In April 1994, the Lahore High Court extended the scope of the blasphemy laws to all the prophets mentioned in the Koran, including Jesus, underlining the judiciary’s bias toward religious extremists. As Muslims firmly reject Christ’s divinity, the ruling endangers the lives of Pakistan’s Christians. (8)

Aasia may have made the great escape but nearly two million Pakistani Christians continue to pay the price for their leaders’ great betrayal of their motherland. It is a lesson to modern day Indian Christians who – prodded by their Western masters – reflexively hate Hinduism. Christians are safe in India only as long as Hindus are a majority. If Muslims ever take control of the country through demographic warfare, they will erase Christianity from India. If you have any doubts just look across the border. Remember, Pakistan is India without Hinduism.

While the this is true I think it cuts both ways, Muslims have a higher birth/Fertily rate thier expectancy is also much lower than the general population, something which can be observed in the charts.

This is why I feel bad when guys like pp hype up Modi's fancied chances of winning by painting such a rosy picture. reckon that more than half of the urban morons are inspired by folks like pp because of whatsapp forwards alone. I certainly get enough of them.

This subtle social media engineering meme that has been talked about here forces many to assume that they personally need not go and vote since there are many others who have already ensured Modi's victory, even before the bleddy votes have been cast.

pappu's BIF backroom team is like an iceberg, about 98% of it is just not visible to the naked eye.

It has many CAMBRIDGE ANALYTICA inspired goras/Indians and deeply vested offshore interests that are exceedingly keen that Modi just not return in 2019 because, apart from everything else, that dreaded scenario simply makes 2024 that much more difficult to surmount and it may just become a bridge too far.

the ones highly visible pappu's in backroom team are simply there to divert public attention and provide alternate moving targets by coming on tv shows, sm and print media and creating controlled chaos as per carefully planned strategy hoping that spme meme would catch fire and go viral.

What Left-Leaning Elite Approve Of Is Patriotism, Otherwise It’s ‘Populist Nationalism’

Mayuresh Didolkar, May 14, 2019.

Snapshot
In a recent article in Washington Post, journalist Barkha Dutt complained about Narendra Modi and the ongoing election being stuck in the past. Here is an open letter in response.

Dear Barkha,

John Steinbeck once said, “Power does not corrupt, fear does, perhaps the fear of loss of power”. I know the loss of power experienced by power-brokering elites of India has been nothing short of devastating. Your latest in Washington Post is a good example of the fear that a possibility of a second term for Modi evokes in the bosom of many. A short analysis of the double standards, bias and selective outrages is outlined in the piece that follows.

Allow me to open by discussing your assertion that “Aayega to Modi hi!”, the popular slogan of BJP supporters in India, is a tactic to induce fatalism in the minds of voters. There is no reason for BJP to induce fatalism into the minds of voters. The voters overwhelmingly support Narendra Modi in any case. The ones to shudder at the thought of a second term for Modi are the handful of elites who have been wielding disproportionate influence on Indian democracy until recently.

In this highly asymmetrical struggle the Goliath-esque elite hold sway over institutions, and have a near monopoly on many platforms. They can malign an entire country’s image in front of the world, if its unwashed masses dare to fall out of line, as they did in 2014.

The left-leaning elites thrived under the previous regime due to their ability to make connections needed for backroom deals, and also because the previous regime preferred controlling many through appeasing a few. The fact that the Indian media always had a dog in the fight was never in doubt, but what separates 2019 from all previous elections is how openly journalists are rooting for, and aggressively advocating for, a grand alliance of all parties with no common ideology except the need to stop Modi.

So when an ordinary Indian says, “Aayega to Modi hi”, she is giving voice to millions who understand the enormity of the challenges and they are saying, “Bring it on!” What you see as arrogance is in reality defiance.

To answer your question of why, if Modi is the hope for the future, he is stuck in the past (reference to his comments about Rajiv Gandhi)—Modi isn’t stuck in the past. He is being forced to go back there because that is where his opposition is stuck. When Modi’s opposition is not lying through their teeth about how RSS killed Mahatma Gandhi, it is telling cringe-worthy stories about how Rajiv Gandhi brought computers to India!

From nearly writing Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel out of India’s history to whitewashing murderous zealots like Aurangzeb and Tipu Sultan, the well-oiled myth-making machine of the left has been systematically building every oppressor of the Indian majority as some kind of hero while destroying—either through neglect, or through slander —those who do not fit their narrative.

Earlier this year, Rahul Gandhi had called Indian freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar “a coward” and mimicked the latter ‘apologising’ to the British government on stage. In case you were not aware of it, Savarkar died in 1966, a full 25 years before Rajiv Gandhi, so when Modi speaks about Rajiv, he is not stuck in the past, he just hasn’t travelled as far back as Rahul has. The door Modi walked through was opened by his opposition with their rhetoric of the dynasty’s contribution to India as their electoral pitch.

While invoking a comparison between Modi and Donald Trump, you mention that Modi has a need to “construct” an enemy to go to battle. But tell me Ms. Dutt, who has been constructing the mythical enemy of “majoritarianism”, of “Hindu Pakistan”? Who has been painting a social service organization as a militia—a Hindu ISIS in a manner of speaking? Who has repeated ad nauseam how India is becoming more dangerous for minorities, women, and journalists?

The enemy was constructed by the power brokers, whose petulance at the loss of power was only exceeded by their recklessness in retaliation. These bullies were hoping this narrative will cow down decent people into submission. They were counting on ratcheting up the “if you don’t agree with me you must be a Fascist” rhetoric and reaping electoral dividends because that’s what used to happen earlier.

Instead, India resisted.

Your anger at the masses that you have ceaselessly tried to portray as barbarians has more to do with this failed narrative than any real widening of fault lines.

You further write “what is considered distasteful and coarse by liberals only seem to make Modi politically stronger”, but tell me madam, what exactly is considered distasteful by liberals like you? Surely it is not goons of a political party entering people’s houses and beating them up for social media posts, because your kind celebrated it. Surely it is not an authoritarian Chief Minister throwing people in jail for memes, attacking political opponents, and all but making it impossible to hold fair elections, because elites have celebrated her as the “match for Modi-Shah”.

From humanizing murderous maniacs by calling them “Headmaster’s sons” to swooning over the charm of a convicted politician in jail, there is no low that liberals haven’t plumbed as long as it has served their political goals.

What did we, the ordinary supporters, do that you find coarse and distasteful? Oh yes, we supported a politician you don’t want in power!

Lastly, about that comparison between Rahul and Michelle. For most parts, Michelle Obama has walked her talk about “going high”. Compare her dignified composure with the tantrums of an entitled son of a dynasty, and one realizes why American Democrats should be the ones to get angry about this comparison.

A carefully orchestrated hug doesn’t even begin to erase the uncouthness that the Congress president has demonstrated time and again in the last five years. Whether it is referring to a freedom fighter as a “coward” or repeatedly referring to your own Prime Minister as a “thief”, there is little doubt in anybody’s mind that our discourse is coarser today due to the Gandhi scion.

The social media team of his party, with his full blessing, have engaged in some of the most despicable and tasteless propaganda campaigns in the history of Indian politics. And yet instead of questioning his unsubstantiated allegations against the PM, you have always tried to put the onus on Modi to clear his name. When Rahul’s chief advisor recently dismissed the 1984 Sikh pogrom as “hua to hua (it happened, so what?)”, the journalist fraternity’s collective reaction was: “Why did he have to speak now?”

The person you compare to Michelle was recently forced to apologise to the Supreme Court for lying and is currently out on bail in a financial fraud case. So forget going high, the lows we see in India’s discourse have Rahul’s footprints all over them.

And curiously, you were half-way right when you compared Rahul to the Clintons for being seen as a symbol of a corroded and entrenched corrupt system. In that light, your change of stance from Hillary to Michelle seems to symbolize your desperation more than any personal growth on the part of the Congress president.

this maybe wrong interpretation of data.. there are less muslims in higher age group because birthrate difference was not there earlier. Now M families have atleast 4 children and C families have atleast 3 in urban areas of kerala while H families have 1 or 2. Church is doing corrective action seeing their population decrease.

I am sharing these Kerala related data as I believe Kerala is leading indicator of socio economic trends in India which slowly spread to other states.

this guy is a serial offender, no matter which malevolent and venomous tweet he deletes and what malignant explanation he concocts thereafter.

he supported coupta's earlier Army coup story and he was probably the only guy, who, in spite of knowing all the facts, maliciously supported that ugly and cooked up lie, hoping that he personally would benefit politically.

Lt Gen Panag who endorsed coup against Modi if he returns to power, had endorsed Shekhar Gupta’s fake coup story in 2012
Image

Following the tweets by the veteran, Indian Express had done another story, which was used to justify its dubious coup theory.

Not merely that, Lt Gen Panag had also cast aspersions on the character of General V.K. Singh who is now a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party. In what he claimed to be an “assessment of a military mind based on reported information in the press”, Lt Gen Panag hinted that the troop movements were a pre-emptive attempt to stop the then UPA government from sacking him. He had posted five tweets after the Indian Express story.

The now-retired Lt General has almost made it a habit of endorsing fake news which targets the Modi government. In October 2017 after the Indian Air Force chopper crashed in the harsh terrain of Arunachal Pradesh, the mortal remains of the martyrs were airlifted. Lt Gen Panag, who once served as a Commanding Officer with the Indian Army shared misleading images of the coffins to insinuate that the government and the army deliberately disrespected the martyrs.

scanning some twitter handles of UPA fans, they are living in some other planet. All of their estimates for NDA are in the range of 220 or below.

Lanka deports 600 clerics, including 100 Indians

Lanka deports 600 clerics, including 100 Indians

Monday, 13 May 2019

Out of the 600 foreigners including 200 hardcore maulvis (Muslim religious preachers) deported by Colombo over the last week after the suicide bombings there, over a 100 were Indians. They, along with those from Pakistan and Maldives, were suspected to be engaged in radicalisation in the Sri Lankan mosques.

Besides the Indians, clerics from Pakistan and Maldives have also been deported in large numbers owing to their terror links that emerged after serial suicide bombings in Colombo on Sunday Easter last month that took a toll of over 250 persons including 11 Indians. Besides the 200 maulvis, the 400 other individuals are also suspected to have travelled on tourist visas but have been essentially been engaged in radical preachings, sources said.

Sri Lankan authorities have identified about 1,200 such individuals who are being screened for terror links and depending upon antecedent verification more such clerics are likely to be deported to the respective countries.

The revelation of the Indian maulvis in radicalisation activities in the island nation has set alarm bells ringing in the security establishment here as they apprehend the international terror groups might have developed a hub of such transnational radical preachers in the country.

The deportations began on Tuesday after the Sri Lankan authorities informed the respective foreign missions on the issue. By Thursday, the 600 such radicals were deported to the respective countries.

Pakistani clerics have infiltrated the mosques in the region including in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Maldives and even in some of the ASEAN countries. These clerics are being exploited by the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence for the larger design of implementing state agenda of sponsoring terror in the neighbourhood, sources said.

The sources said such radical clerics are also part of the transnational radicalization networks of the international terror groups like the Al Qaeda and ISIS who have a long term agenda of radicalisation and subsequently recruit them into their fold for their terror designs, including logistics management chain and funding through illegal narcotics supply chain.

During the last over two years, Indian clerics in large number, as revealed by the Sri Lankan deportation, are also taking up jobs of Islamic preaching in foreign shores.

In the wake of the development, the challenge for the security agencies is two-fold: first, to keep tabs on their activities after their deportation, and secondly to establish their role and extent of involvement in radicalization during their stay in Sri Lanka, insiders said.

Officials also said the Indian security agencies will have an onerous task ahead to contain the impact of the deported radical clerics.

They said counter-terrorism and security-related issues come under the domain of the security agencies in so far as Sri Lanka is concerned as any adverse activity there has a direct bearing on the security calculus in South India, especially Tamil Nadu.

Ahead of carrying out the suicide bombing in Colombo, chief National Thowheed Jamat Zaharan Hashim had stayed in South India for three months but remained undetected by the Intelligence Bureau.
