Congress sweeps Nanded civic polls; stops BJP juggernaut
The Congress today made a clean sweep in the Nanded-Waghala municipal corporation elections, winning 49 of the 54 seats for which results were declared.

Results for 54 seats, out of the total 81, have been declared so far.

Nanded is Maharashtra Congress president Ashok Chavan's home turf and it saw an aggressive campaign, with BJP making all efforts to wrest control of the civic body. The campaign for the polls witnessed a bitter war of words among the Congress, BJP and Shiv Sena.

Of the results declared so far, BJP has won three, while Shiv Sena is placed a distant third, winning a solitary seat.

The results indicate a rout of the AIMIM, which had around a dozen corporators in the outgoing body.

The Congress has 41 members in the outgoing civic body, followed by 14 corporators of the Shiv Sena, 11 of the AIMIM and Nationalist Congress Party's 10.

The municipal corporation of Nanded has been ruled by the Congress, since it came into existence two decades ago.

The BJP won 12 of the 16 civic bodies, for which polls were held this year, expanding its footprint in Maharashtra's urban areas. PTI

NaMo's speech at the "million man rally" in Gujarat:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-Xmi1Wn11k

A real cracker of a speech. Total confidence and aggression. Gotta hand it to this "narendra". He works day and night, doesn't respond to random catcalls and day-to-day dramas, and communicates directly to the public at the date, time, and modality of his choosing.

All the people crying hoarse about the BJP faltering in the perception game should get their fix by watching this video.

Meanwhile, Dr. Braveen Badil asserts the BJP is set to win in HP and GJ:

https://twitter.com/5Forty3

Both direct contests with the Congis. No other significant playaz (except of course, our very own Rahulbhai Mehta in GJ).

Gurdaspur , Punjab Loksabha by-election.
.
BJP-MP Vinod Khanna passed away. And so there was bypoll
.
in may-2014, BJP had won by about 136,000 votes , total polled votes = 1042,000
In oct-2017, congress wins by about 192,000 votes , total polled votes = 859,000
.
So number of voters reduced by about 200,000 !!!

My father in law just texted me that the BJP MLA of Jayanagar Vijayakumar died this morning. He had won last 2-3 elections and was very popular. He was the candidate this time also.

According to the 5forty3 latest "real time" election prediction:

http://5forty3.in/chunavpedia/index.php ... tion,_2018

Out of 135 seats posted so far (seems mainly Nawth and Central KA), they are predicting -

BJP likely to win in 40 and leading in another 34.
INC likely to win in 23 and leading in another 17.
JDS is winning in 4.
Another 17 are swing seats/too close to call.

If you look at the individual constituency tracker, it seems most of the swing seats are neck-and-neck BJP/INC races, with JDS not really being in the picture.

Even if the swing seats split evenly, BJP is heading for 80+ out of 135. With the magic number being 113/224, that still looks like a "wave" to me.

Amit Shah seems to have timed the campaign well. The last two weeks before the KA election are indeed the right time for that big push, rather than have NaMo start rallies too early in advance.

This tweet sounds like good news to me.....awaiting the full predictions from all 224 seats.
Dr Praveen Patil‏ @5Forty3

This election has now virtually turned into a @narendramodi election. It is now for Modi and against Modi (you don't need a psephologist to predict the outcome of such a contest). @siddaramaiah should 1st fire his entire strategy/Social Media team for chasing the Modi narrative!

When ModiJi is on the road waving to enthusiastic crowds, I hope the security is air tight. Yesterday, I was a little worried ModiJi waving to the crowd in open air. I will not put it beyond Congoons, Paki ISI, CIA, MI-5 etc to do what is in their interests with plausible deniability.

hardly good news if bjp doesnt get majority by itself this time.jds will prevent the bjp govt from functioning - remember lasttime when they were an alliance and jds backstabbed bjp.
nothing less than a simple majority with bjp crossing 113 and congress falling to 50 would satisfy me.its shameful that congies are projected to win so many seats despite their in your face sikular corruption .

This is a civilizational flaw. Why did so many Hindu kings gave land to Abrahamics who then invited more of their ilk and genocided the local population itself. Why to this day so many dhimmi Hindus go to the mazar of the bastard Chisti in Ajmer? Even today there is no clarity of thought in majority of Hindus about who their enemies are, just care about making money and abusing anyone who shows them the mirror.

TV5 News poll
The TV5 News poll, released on Monday evening, predicted the BJP would receive a clear majority with between 110 and 120 seats, the Congress could nab between 65 and 75 seats and the Janata Dal(Secular), which has tied up with the BSP, could net between 38 and 42 seats.

OK folks, 5forty3 is out with its first "real time" predictions for all 224 KA seats:

http://5forty3.in/chunavpedia/index.php ... tion,_2018

BJP already has a strong or moderate lead in 100 seats.

INC has a strong or moderate lead in only 61 seats.

JDS has a strong or moderate lead in only 31 seats.

32 seats are swing/too close to call.

So if the BJP momentum keeps building like this, it looks like a clean majority this time. BTW, Dr. Braveen Badil's latest tweet:
Dr Praveen Patil‏ @5Forty3
Preliminary reports coming from all over Karnataka at the start of the week indicate that the state's electorate may shock Congress beyond belief! Nothing is impossible now.
I think Dr. Badil's MAPi tracker could revolutionize the way we discuss elections. One does not have to rely anymore on random newspapers and polls that use un methodologies. All that one would need is the link above where every constituency is being predicted on an ongoing basis. Clicking on "MAPi tracking" for any constituency shows the current situation based on micro-intelligence (basically a large enough collection of ground reports which are then analyzed using his proprietary algorithm). Brilliant setup, let us see how accurately it works!

Look at this Wikipedia page for Karnataka Assembly Elections, 2018.

Specifically the "Opinion Polls" section.

A nice graphic has been made, using cherry-picked opinion polls to give the impression that Congress is winning.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karnataka ... tion,_2018

I am sure this must be a violation of the EC's regulations.

Is there a particular sufi in the Chisti order you are talking about? Many people go to Nizamuddin and haven't heard anything negative about him. I know we have dissed many sufis on BRF but not sure whats with one at Ajmer dargah

Plenty of resources on Google if you search.

But crux is that Sufis were the spies of Jehadis - they softened the Hindus for assault and passed crucial information to the jehadis waiting to slaughter the infidels.
