Seems there is a possibility that Gujarat BJP govt will fall.

Seculars seem to be thrilled and excited, eagerly anticipating something special:

"As Gujarat Deputy CM sulks over portfolio allocation, Patidar leaders rally behind him"

trouble brewing in Gujarat http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/o ... 331608.ece
Even as the Gujarat government faces a crisis of sorts, with Deputy Chief Minister and prominent Patidar leader Nitin Patel sulking over the allocation of portfolios to him and the taking away of the powerful departments of Finance, Petrochemicals and Urban Development from him, leaders of the community are rallying behind him.

Patidar quota agitation leader Hardik Patel said, "Nitinbhai should break from the BJP with his MLAs and we will talk to the Congress to support him."

Earlier, Mr. Hardik asked the Deputy Chief Minister to join his stir ''to fight for justice'' to the Patidar community. “Nitinbhai can join in our fight for justice. After all, he got only lollipops in the BJP,” the 24-year-old Mr. Hardik said in Botad, where he is holding a Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) meeting to deliberate and discuss their future strategy.

Mr. Hardik is likely to meet Mr. Nitin by Sunday.

Many other community leaders are pouring in to meet Mr Nitin.

Sardar Patel Group (SPG) chief Lalji Patel announced that Mehsana (Mr. Nitin’s constituency and the epicentre of the Patidar agitation) would remain shut on January 1 to protest against ''injustice'' to Mr. Nitin. Mr. Lalji met Mr. Nitin on Saturday.

The SPG and PAAS jointly launched the quota agitation in 2015.

On Friday, Mr. Nitin did not turn up to his office and did not even make any public appearance anywhere. Sources in the government said he had made his displeasure known to the central leadership of the BJP on being given “light weight portfolios” despite he being the Deputy Chief Minister.

In the new government, he has got Roads and Buildings, Narmada, Health, Medical Education and Capital Projects.

According to party insiders, the central leadership is sending a senior leader to mediate and end the crisis.

Differences between Mr. Nitin and Chief Minister Vijay Rupani cropped up on Thursday before the first Cabinet meeting in which Ministers were supposed to be distributed the departments. Due to the differences, the meeting, scheduled to ‪start at 5 p.m.,‬ commenced ‪only at 9 p.m.‬ after a marathon meeting at the Chief Minister's residence, where Mr. Rupani, Mr. Nitin and State party president Jitu Vaghani assigned portfolios to Ministers after consultations with the party brass in New Delhi.

“Nitinbhai is upset with not getting the Finance Department,” a senior party leader said, adding, “despite being Deputy Chief Minister, he is not dealing with any important portfolios like Home, General Administration, Industries, Mines and Minerals, Finance, Urban Development or Revenue.”

media is playing on fault line and publishing mischievous articles. Re Gujarat
-Hardik is acting like spokesperson of congress
-Ahmed patel is pulling strings from behind
-fight is about meaty portfolios.
-Ministry already has 6 Patel ministers.

Never thought I will hate some one more than Kejriwal: Hardick proved me wrong. Street side loafers like him, Jignesh Mewani are being elevated to national leaders sort of.
Opposition is hoping:
-Rural distress/farmer's blackmail and caste faultline will destroy BJP in 2019.

BJP should open strings of purse and announce sops for farmers.

Re: MJ Akbar

Well said. It will be a Herculean task though, to bring India to a total level playing field where there is indeed a Uniform Civil Code for all citizens. That is when the vote banks will shift.

In fact, libtards can't control their pleasure at this minor skirmish in Gujarat BJP if you want to call it that. If you thought low-IQ bimbos like Saba Naqvi, Rana Ayub, Omara Abdullah's keep have contempt for ModiJI, Amit Shah, and BJP, nothing beats the sheer hatred this bimbo has for them

https://twitter.com/bainjal

But it is becoming clear that from a model modern-looking Gujarat, Congoons are reducing Guajarat to a castesit cauldron. Hope it doesn't get out of control. Man, multiply the contempt libtards have for BJP by infinity, and thats the contempt I have for the feudal, dynastic, corrupt, colonial, casteist Congoons.

From Swati Chaturvedi's Twitter timeline above, she is pimping a Guardian article about a book she herself wrote to propagate the theory that Modi ordered a BJP troll army to abuse everyone criticizing him on SM. Some guy named Michael  Safi who has been writing all bile against this government wrote that article about this book. Such a "scratch my back" network is disgusting.

Just a headsup for some typo's in you IAF ordering 83 LCA Tejas article, seems like your word processor spell check replaced Tejas with Texas in a few places
On the other note, Indian defense sources have indicated that Singapore has shown interest in Texas. During the air show in Bahrain where Texas planes were introduced, he also showed interest in some countries in the Middle East, defense sources said. There were two Texas planes in Bangalore for the Singapore Defense Minister to watch the plane. Texas aircraft was designed Agency for Development and the aviation company of Hindustan Aeronautics for the Indian Air Force and the Navy.

Looks like Ranji will join politics and contest all 234 assembly seats.

I suspect he will win big because people are sick of *DMK parties. I also suspect modi couldn’t convince him to join BJP ... I just hope he will join NDA though

Politics joins Rajini sir !!!

Rajini sir will form political party

His party will contest all MLA seats in TN, and win twice the seats he contests !!

He can become Modiji of TN !!

His script writer is excellent !!!

He too comes from humble background - father was a small time constable and Rajni sir was once a coolie, a carpenter and then a bus conductor

Both are great actors !!!

Whats the translation of "achchhe din coming" in Tamil?

Make no mistake. This is very much a Modi play. BJP in TN oscillates between being the butt of WhatsApp jokes and being the favorite scapegoat for everything going wrong with the state. It is a path of least resistance to create an alternative Hindu anti-corruption force than to breathe life into the BJP. This is a good strategy to decimate the EJ CM hopefuls as well as Kamal Haasan who is proxying for AAP and the Commies. No pun intended, but it is a "Hail Mary" pass totally worth a try.

And expect a tacit (not open) alliance in TN for 2019 between BJP and Rajni. TN could contribute a majority of it's MPs to NDA via this alliance.

Let's not overestimate either the chankianness of BJP or the pull of Rajni in TN as far as politics is concerned.
Nevertheless a positive development for indics overall. Let's see how far it goes.

Rajanikanth in person can may be contest an all 234 seats, but if he wins in any of them then there has to be re-elections on all the other 233 seats. Or else, he would have to identify winnable candidates (who also would stand with him) in all the 233 seats. It is the second part which would be tough for him. How is he going to identify "good" (!?) people to stand with him, people who he can stamp credibility? Because people may vote for other wise "unknown/dubious people" only due to Rajanikanth personally vouching for them. And if he makes an error in judging the other "leaders" in his party, he can pack his bag and go home (and look for the next movie).

It had come to our notice that if a Muslim woman wants to go on Haj ,she must have a ‘Mehram’ or a male guardian, otherwise she cannot travel, it was discriminatory, we have changed this rule and this year arnd 1300 women applied to go without a male guardian: PM Modi #MannKiBaat

Saar, 234 might be difficult but 39 is easy, if you catch my drift. He has had community contacts for many years and can pull the right people into his party from all constituencies. His fan base will be his cadre. His fan base numbers are sufficient to shift the victory margins in most constituencies. The guy is already "communal" Indic, so even when he picks Loveful or Peaceful candidates, they will be aligned with his Indic values.

Well, most "Tamil" leaders seem to be well-versed in Tamil words insulting each other's mother as well as Modi's. So, we're good with what we get.

Arrey bhai...why the bitterness :) . So you lost the election to a BJP candidate....that's OK, there's always the next election. :)
Sarcasm thoda limit mein baanntiye....too much salt in any dish sours the dish. In any case, for your translation request: it is- nalla naatkal varum.
And if you've seen what's happened in the last one year in TN post-Jayalalitha and the alternative to it, any change from the status quo is very likely to take TN in a better direction....a.k.a. acche din....a.k.a. nalla naatkal. And frankly, while I dont know too much about Rajni's political positions, it is time for an alternative to the alternative. Rajni has been watching TN politics closely for more than a decade-maybe even 2 (and has been threatening to join it for a long time) so I am sure that he knows the landscape very well and have some clear ideas of what needs to be changed. Of course, execution is a different thing. That has to be seen.

SSundar-
that 'Hail Mary' pass is a very good pun. :P
