Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
^ I somewhat sympathize with Karthik's POV here.
There's no need to actively "promote" prosletyzation festivals when keeping quiet would have done just as well. No?
In the past it was OK to do such and fly under the radar, but in today's soc-media age, word spreads quickly and hard to hunt with hounds while running with the hares. Its OK to tweet greetings to any community on twitter but to actively participate and promote a particular community (particularly when you did no such thing for majority your voters' festivals) stinks.
There's little doubt that phurst lady is already damaging Dev_F's chances in the BJP as we speak. Unless the whole thing is some chankian ploy stage managed by the RSS (I mean, what are the odds of that?).
If perchance its all indeed a tactical ploy to prevent an overt consolidation of xtian votes or something, great. But really? The ground facts are there for all to see - the xtians don't vote in numbers for the BJP precisely because they view it as a yindoo party. They're mighty clear on that score and the church network actively spreads the word among the faithfools that BJP and 'hindutva' (and now, 'nationalism' as per the GJ bishop) is the enemy. Have to wonder, why BJP pi$$ing off yindoos then, hain ji?
P.S. I know they take us for granted but do they have to really rub it in?

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
The blowback has begun. These are needless self-goals by the lotus party. Its one thing to be attacked for acts of omission. But acts of commision? Why phor onlee...
People slam Maharashtra BJP MLA for supporting a Christian evangelism event (OpIndia)
Read the whole thread.
One bositive from such stuff is that the Yindoo opinion ecosystem is building up fire and intensity and not letting such BS go scot free any longer. Also, such stuff on a regular basis helps avoid complacence.
Mean-e-while, blatant phakking lies from the MSM in disgraceful support of the BIFs, as usual. Spot the lie below.

Read this thread to see the horrendous duplicity of BJP and Shri Modi regarding Hindu issues. There can be no excuses. This is a war for survival and no time to fiddle fingers while Hinduism is under relentless attack.

Chandraguptaji,
One.
Mr. Modi's is riding on wave of a larger change that was triggered in 91-92 due to two forces. Liberalisation and Rath Yatra/BM demolition. This was cemented by Pokhran 2 and Kargil.
Two.
Mr. Modi is given too much credit for 2014. His courtiers (even well read BRF) fail to notice or try to hide the fact that the very platform on which Mr. Modi is standing was kept afloat by core voters in 2004 and 2009.
Yes, he has built a narrative and brought together few disparate voting segments. His intentions are right, he is working hard to empower erstwhile classes/segments that had no access to govt. or in no position to benefit from a growing economy.
But what Mr. Modi clearly fails to see where he is standing. The very people that are climbing up the social / economic ladder will demand exactly in next 5 years what we are demanding now.
What would Mr. Modi give them the day these people begun to contemplate beyond roti, kapda and makan? They will curse him when they realise that despite being in a brute majority he failed even to safeguard the freedom to worship the way their forefathers did or failed to protect basic Hindu institutions (temples, schools).
He is a good businessman, like most folks from his state. But he has no sense of history. You need a PVNR or (much discredited) ABV for that.

@SRoy
good insight!
May I add my pov:
Hard Hindutva is a pipe dream and will never happen. This is apparent when we see Yogi moving around with Azam Khan hand in hand..

For those in Gujarat or who followed it closely- the MLAs hiding in Karnataka 3-4 months ago when Gujarat was having floods-
Did that become an election issue? Was it brought up in public or did it not be much of an election issue?
