A bunch of lies and platitudes but one needs to read between the lines to get the real message of these bigots.

The vatican is a separate country with an embassy in India. The pope appoints bishops and cardinals and as such these people voicing political opinions should be taken as foreigners interfering in the Internal affairs of India. These people owe a direct allegiance to rome and by their law also take orders from rome.

People should stand united to dislodge NDA Government: Church of South India

Even as the BJP is trying woo the Christian communities to get a base in Kerala and Northeast states, the Church of South India (CSI) has taken strong exception to various policies of the NDA.

12th April 2018

KOTTAYAM: Even as the BJP is trying woo the Christian communities to get a base in Kerala and Northeast states, the Church of South India (CSI) has taken strong exception to various policies of the NDA Government at the Centre, including its alleged pro-corporate and anti-poor policies, atrocities against Dalits and the tribals and the hard-line Hindutva agendas.

CSI Moderator Bishop Thomas K Oommen, the supreme head of the church, has published an open letter to the people of the country, asking them to stand united to bring down the government.

The letter quoting Gandhiji’s words on ‘salt march’ that “With this, I am shaking the foundations of the British Empire,” appeared as a symbolic call against the NDA Government.

The CSI which is the second largest Christian denomination in India has a strong presence in South Indian states including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
According to him, over the past few years, especially during the last four years, people are extremely alarmed at the way the nation is being ruled by the government at the Centre.

“As a citizen of India and as the head of an Indian Church, which belongs to a minority religion, with the majority of its members belonging to the minority communities, I hereby share the fear my people have under the rule of a government that has become a nightmare to the poor and the minorities in India,” he said.

The bishop, who termed the government as a regime of ‘right-wing fundamentalist forces’, said the it has become a danger to the very fabric of the great Sovereign, Socialist, Secular and Democratic Republic. “The Central Government that follows the Hindutva supremacist ideology seems to have consciously discounted all the rights stated in the Preamble of the Constitution,” he said.

“In nexus with the corporates and the multi-national companies, the poor are being plundered. The cry of millions of poor farmers to waive their loans off falls upon the deaf ears of a government that happily waives off loans owed by 50 rich people. The government policies like ‘Demonetisation’ and GST have ruthlessly affected the poor. There is no doubt that the government is pro-corporate and unkind to the poor,” he said.

The head of the church said the chain of recent agitations indicated a new Dalit awakening and the CSI Church not only stands in solidarity with the Dalits fighting for justice and equality, but also condemns all atrocities against them. The Church also demanded the implementation of recommendations of the Ranganath Mishra Commission and the Sachar Committee for reservation to Dalits of Christian and Muslim minority communities.

The opinion polls from March 1 till today April 4 have been in the 270-315 seats range for NDA. That seems like a very solid basis for campaigning, which can easily push the tally to 300-350.

Unfortunately the election opinion poll presentation in India is a joke. They give no idea about the margin of leads in each of the 543 seats.

for below, you will have to look at regional language newspapers and tv channels. Some of them give vote share for all LS seats in those states

The lavish air travel enjoyed by the Indian journalists during UPA days

The media in the country has always shared an intriguing relationship with the government of the day. From involving in the allocation of cabinet berths to availing freebies, the Indian media fraternity has been part of an echo chamber but unfortunately, it was never part of public debate.

Now, an interesting video has gone viral, in which senior journalist Ashok Shrivastav can be heard describing anecdotes, which explain the murkier relationship between the media and the past government. Ashok Shrivastav narrated his experience regarding how Indian journalists were gifted with freebies, including expensive alcoholic beverages whenever they travelled with the Indian delegation to foreign countries led by the past Prime Ministers. He said that over 150 journalists would travel officially during the Congress regime.

589 people are talking about this

He further revealed how the previous governments spent lavishly to treat the Indian media establishment during the official trips. Narrating an incident, Shrivastav said that courtesy of the external affairs ministry during the Congress government, journalists were allowed to order expensive cuisine, alcohol while they were part of the Indian media delegation. Srivastav said that after journalists were wined and dined during the flight when they reached their hotel room an expensive alcohol bottle of Black Label would be waiting for them. He also said that many journalists had brought back expensive alcohol back to the country as it would be sponsored by the external affairs ministry apart from the free air tickets and hotel accommodation.

Interestingly, Shrivastav explained how everything changed when Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the country. Post-2014, no media organisations or journalists are being allowed to fly with the official Indian delegation. The media organisations should cover their expenses if they intend to report on Prime Minister Modi’s official foreign trips. He also added how the Modi government cut unnecessary expenses on journalists by not allowing public money to spent on local trips, that used to be sponsored by the previous governments in the past.

The Indian journalists’ fraternity has in the past lamented against the present government for not following the established ‘etiquettes’. It is also believed that resentment against the Narendra Modi government also comes from the fact that there are no such freebies available to them today contrary to the past when ’eminent’ journalists were co-opted by the government for reciprocity of being soft on them.

It is rather worrying to see that the Indian media, dominated by the left-leaning Lutyens cabal, often speaking in a condescending tone targetting the self-made journalists of being co-opted and a mouthpiece to the present Narendra Modi government despite the fact that they themselves have questionable integrity and journalistic ethics in the past.

Advani's Blog, Joshi's Secret Talks Needle BJP Before Polls
How strong are the rumours of M.M Joshi being propped as a maha thug bandhan candidate against Na.Mo at Varanasi? If the "seculars" can pull that, it would really be an achievement and also a major problem for BJP. Loh Purush also seems to be playing some games behind the back of the BJP. To be honest; it was no wonder BJP was always an also ran for quite some time when M.M Joshi, Loh Purush etc were running it .

Advani's self righteous blog is horse manure IMO. I mean its one thing for Lutyen sore losers and Congoons to create this straw man that BJP is saying 'anti national' to anybody who disagrees with them, its another thing for LKA to puke the same BS. Fact is that BJP never ever referred to anybody who disagrees with them as anti-national. People are relentlessly attacking BJP and ModiJi on a range of issues from demo to economy etc. And BJP never called them anti anti-national for that.

But when Lutyen mafia questioned the first surgical strike, when they attacked BJP for the machinations of the valley separatists, when mar Adullah wants a seperate PM for Kashmir, when they referred to paid stone pelters disrespecting Indian forces as 'misguided youth', when they spoke the language of Pakis, then of course, they deserve to be called anti-national traitors that they are. I was revolted when that b!tch Omar Abdullah's keep said that Sam Pitroda said "nothing out of the ordinary" but BJP went ballistic calling him and Congoons as anti-national.

Nothing out of the ordinary? The b@stard Pitroda described 26/11 as "9 guys came and did something". I mean a brazen act of war by Pakis is trivialized like this? And he goes on to say that Pakistan state cannot be punished. Does this guy have any f!king IQ to think that 26/11 was undertaken by just '9 guys'? And Lutyen ass holes find nothing outrageous about this? And if BJP attacks back, the familiar mockery of them as playing the "Pakistan card"? And LKA joins this chorus? Give me a break.

I noticed that BJP backed off attacking Pappu for his decision to contest from a Muslim/Christian dominated Waynard in Kerala. Now here is kicker. Congoons put Pappu there in that safe seat precisely because they know Muslims and Christians will vote for them en masse. Their decision is not 'communal. But when BJP points that out, it becomes communal. Likewise, Congoons put out Priyanka precisely because a pretty white European face with Gandhi name will attract lots of votes from India's poor and 'low castes' as a 'bulwark against the much detested Brahmins and Banias. But if BJP were to dare say this, they will be drowned with tons of bricks bats as fascist, communal, misogynost, you name it.

The RTE act was passed during the tenure of these mahatmas who were then in the opposition ranks and the baleful provisions of the RTE act along with its immense potential to malevolently damage the rights of the Hindu were not hidden but glaringly obvious to anyone who cared even to have the most cursory of looks.

They could have also actively mobilized against the constitutional amendment that followed the RTE and maybe stopped it when in opposition.

This is because they were all a card carrying part and parcel of the lootyens cabal.

The cabal and their BIF supporters were actively pursuing the draconian communal violence bill when thankfully there was an outcry.

Let me be one of the first (if not THE first) to stick my neck out and say that BJP on its own will get around 310-330 seats. This is based on my travels across the country - 13 states/UTs.. only 7 weeks to go! The question is whether the want for modi will translate to votes, I believe it will..

I think it will saar. The average guy has a lot of respect for Modi, which would help in this election more than state gov elections. All Modi needs to do is to make the election about him and his govt's performance, people are receptive.

But where are the campaigns? We go to polls in less than a week or two (AP+TS, TN+south KA), and I hardly read about any political meetings, rallies etc. Seems to be the quietest election run up I have seen...

Modi is conducting 2 or 3 rallies every day. The crowds are big at some locations but not so big at others.
This time, at most locations, temporary roofs are being set up to protect people from the heat. So crowd panoramic shots are not available. At some places, those sheds are not nearly enough at others they are.
Actually the sheds themselves indicate expectation of lower crowds, IMO.

Follow Modi on youtube. You can listen live or recordings of his rallies.
Perhaps, MSM Is not covering his rallies as much this time.

Eh? Not quite.

I did say what i was hearing from people. And yes, things like no change in tax bands and GST did affect people (different segments) and that dissatisfaction hasn't disappeared.. Jaitley has definitely not helped Modi's chances. I do believe he should not be part of the next government.

But the airstrike has really helped. Ironically, the sheer hatred for Modi the opposition has is also helping. Nyay has brought in some interest for RG .. mostly people who want to mooch off the hard work of others.. their talk of raising taxes has helped BJP..

Note that the secular crowd will never vote for him. That has not changed, and will never change.

Nearly every reason for popular dissatisfaction with Modi has been traced to Jaitley, from operational failures in DeMo and GST to patronizing the Congoon system and the Babus loyal to that system. He should be given the honorable option of stepping down citing health reasons. Or perhaps be moved to External Affairs.

The difference was clear in the Budget messages:

Jaitley: We do not have any tax concessions in this budget for the middle class because we have already done quite a bit.

Goyal: Thank you, Taxpayer!!!

AJ going to US for treatment freed Modi to take tough decisions. Balkot strike would not have happened if AJ was in India.
Biggest mistake of Modi is keeping AJ in inner circle, even though he is the only leader who lost in 2014 during the BJP wave

Dubey, you don't know the first thing about me. I suggest you keep your snarky comments to yourself. My family has been BJP/JP long before you were even born. I have ignored your silly comments previously. If I wanted your opinion, I'd give it to you.

Having said that, I am not a bhakth blindly believing anything anyone from BJP says. I am Hindu/dharmic first, then everything else. My loyalty doesn't lie with any party or man. It lies with my culture and dharma.

Funny how these people who have left the country talk about patriotism and think they know what is best for those of us who actually live here... all the while living in a foreign nation.

^^JT, you have repeated all these things ad nauseam, including snarky comments on other posters as well as on BJP leaders. So best take my comments like a man.

This droning on about "NRIs know nothing about the actual situation in India", "my family was so-and-so before you were born", etc. is not new and is really a joke.

A lot of people have been predicting 300+ for NDA based upon real data for the last 3 months - and you now conclude the same thing and think the forum is truly blessed with your insight. Still, I appreciate your enlightenment.
