Thank God that the legend of over hyped Messi is finally buried. Like South African Cricket team, he too has been a choker on world stage while destroying opponents in club level matches.

golden ball 2014 WC. argentina was in finals remember ?

I really liked croatia's play, their coach had a much better plan. every time an argentinian had the ball three croats converged on him, giving him no breathing space. argentina had no plan, all kicking long balls and hoping someone will catch one and score a goal.

dramatic match. Germany eeked out a last minute goal to beat sweden 2-1.
would have been difficult for germany if they had drawn the match.

England hammers Panama..
Woohoo!! Way to go Lions till QF and then make someone happy by losing :)
Japan played superbly against Senegal and it was 2-2, a fair result I guess.

bhagwan ke durbar mein justice to hain.

south korea sent germany packing with a great display. the germans could barely show any pace after 70 min mark, reduced to walking and praying
the koreans had much superior fitness

5 pour Belgique.
I am with france, senegal, belgium, uruguay, croatia and mehico this time. not holding out great hope on the brazilians.

romelu lukaku, griezeman and the mehican left winger are my favourite players.

All Asian teams have done well except Saudi and Australia. Incredible to see Japanese also went toe to toe with taller stronger Senegal. Iran almost eliminated Portugal there. Korea also did well and defeated a motivated German team. I hope India can use the improving football standards in Asia to our advantage in near future. If world cup expands to 48 teams in 2026 we might have a decent shot at it.

For rest of cup I am going with my gut and at this point it is purely racially driven. Brazil is always number 1 but all other brown/black nationalities receive my support also. Too bad Mexico will have to face Brazil due to goof up against Sweden.

France will take it this time. Brazil are good but not solid enough to hold if a top level European team presses them. We saw that with Serbia they were very shaky at the back. Definitely a European team this time. France is my pick but Portugal and Spain can go all the way if they find their rhythm.

This is the most interesting world cup with top teams struggling!!

I predict Mexico (who have not been to semis) or croatia or some team that has never won the world cup.

I was very close to start singing sa re ga ma pa dha ni bomb phelechhe Japani (four line Bengali poem made during ww2 as they cheered on INA advance). Asian football has made its presence felt this cup.

japan belgium was a fantastic frenetic aggressive match. loved watching it.

was hoping for japan to make it and go beyond soko semifinal appearance.

so now only france and eng are previous cup winners?

good chance to have a new winner?

Red devils were pathetic, Just look at how 2nd goal was scored by Japan (61 in world). Worlds 3 best team was clueless, They lost hope after second goal, Could not watch after that and went out with my dog, When I came back it was 2-2. La haul-vila quwat, Now wait for Friday against Brazil.
