The Great Indian Political Drama - 2 (Mar 2018 - Oct 2018)
Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 2 (Mar 2018 - )
wrt KA, not to read too much about superstition and different govts between state and central level. KA had same congress govt for decades. In 1985 Gundu Rao congress govt booted out to corruption and dismal performance, hence RK Hegde won (former congressi) despite IG assasination.
It has alternated with no party winning continuos 2 terms. The timings of state and lok sabha do not match which is another reason.
Hope this time the trend is reversed.

Hi Guys, With the Karnataka elections coming up, and to highlight some of the views that have already been expressed here before, we tried to give an idea of what the Dalit situation is really about.
Of course there is no way that we can win an election in the near future without the Dalit vote.
One thing kept running my mind, with Modi being from OBC background, and Ram Nath Kovind being president of India as well as Keshav Maurya deputy CM for UP all being dalits, why could they not push back against the propaganda of BJP being a anti Dalit party recently?
Some of these hard questions were posed to Yashpal of the Dalit Mukti Manch Delhi Chapter. Some of the other questions that I tried to highlight were the potential misuse of the Schedule tribes law of 1989. Also, the fact that so many programs by Modi and really benefited the poor especially the Dalits.
Take a look at his responses to get an idea about how potentially planning to spins talk against the BJP.
Why are Dalits protesting and what can be done?

What’s wrong with Tripura CM the latest one about civil engineers and not mechanical engineers should be civil servants.
Can’t he keep his mouth shut? Or is there some political game behind uttering these nonsense?

Meh...what’s the big deal ...people act like this the first time some politician said something stupid.
The news should be that finally all villages are electrified. Plan done ahead of schedule. We should be celebrating that instead of stupid things people say.

My take on Biplab Deb's comments.SSundar wrote: ↑Sat Apr 28, 2018 1:25 amNot defending him, but we have to consider the possibility that the media is (forgive my gross expression) deliberately holding the microphone to amplify his farts. Many CMs have made silly/stupid statements or done silly/stupid deeds in public. This man will need to get used to being belittled because he stands as a symbol of those who vanquished the mighty Manik Sarkar.bharotshontan wrote: ↑Fri Apr 27, 2018 8:04 pmWhat is the deal with Tripura CM farting away despite Modi warning to BJP leaders to watch it?
1. His comments on existence of Internet during the times of Mahabharata are BS if he meant it in a literal sense. The essence of what he was saying was lost in translation. And of course DDM was waiting to pounce on some nutty statement from any BJP leader. He shouldn't have obliged. Mapping scientific know how and thinking of ancient Hindus to modern day scientific lingo and construct is very challenging. No need to shoot one's mouth off.
2. His comments on Miss world beauty contests were right on the money. The fashion mafia indeed threw a few dog bones at India to pep up middle class ego as a means to expand their foot print. And he is dead on, in the sense that how come not too many Indian chics have won since a long time?
3. And let me stick my neck out and add, on white western notions of beauty, they do score much higher, given their physical attributes. And they let in a few desis for their own reason as I state in #2. Of course, notions of beauty cut much deeper than legs and waist and boobs etc, and thats why he was referring to Aiswarya Rai. Once again the intent of what he was trying to convey was lost.
4. I don't know who this chic Diana Hayden is, but I did not interpret his comments on her as having anything to do with skin color. How did DDM get that impression?
Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 2 (Mar 2018 - )
Raul G talks 100 times more BS every day. I dont see the outrage.
People have mouths. They will speak and eat. Not all of it will make sense. So why are we so defensive about it?
Biplab da is relatively inexperienced. But he will learn quickly. My bet is that he will be a better CM candidate than any congressi/commie candidate anywhere in the country.

Let us hope that he learns quickly.
The DDM will link this all the way back to Modi, making Modi's job in 2019 a bit more difficult.

He is young and he will learn to speak. His most imp job is tripura's welfare and clean communist mess. As long as he is doing those right... rest is manageable

CG, A word of caution. A leader especially that of a large modern state has to take lot of steps that seem unpalatable for various reasons. Only Namo knows the strategic and tactical reasons why he spoke what he spoke and it is impossible for him to explain these reasons to his millions of supporters. As far his supporters are concerned it is their duty to support him through his best and worst of times instead of continuously second guessing him and questioning every decision of his.
Even legendary warriors-conquerors like Shivaji/Bajirao/ Ranjit Singh had to compromise multiple times with mlechchas (Aurangzeb/Nizam etc)depending on the situations. Doesn't mean they were any less dharmic. Now if their armies and supporters would have questioned and contested every decision of theirs, would they have achieved anything.
Compromises and give and take decisions are part and parcel of any leader's tool box. At least this is what history teaches us.
Plus why be so impatient. What we are facing is a massive civilizational war thrust upon us by Islamist and evangelical forces. These wars will never be settled in a single electoral cycle. In fact they will not be settled through ballot at all. For e.g. it took Marathas almost 60-70 years from Shivaji's rule to Bajirao era to dismantle the mughal empire. And it took Spaniards almost 800 years to complete their reconquista to flush out Islamists from Spain.
So the point is why so much hurry? After all, victory is seldom won in miles. Mostly it is in inches. By showing our hurry we only reveal our weakness and lack of stamina to islamics . And he is ready to wait.
So don't worry. Have basic faith in our leaders. Namo is better than abv. The next one should be even more aggressive. So why worry. Our enemies might have the watch but we have the time.

We are at war yes but what does this statement do?
Does it get Muslim votes for BJP? - NO
Does it change the perception for Modi amongst Muslims and Dhimmis? - NO
Will the rabid anti-Hindu media suddenly change their spots after his 'Paigambad Muhammad sahab' bull? - NO
All it does is raise BP of Hindutva voters like me. Somebody needs to tell the man - when in doubt, keep shut.

Guys, anyone following Rupa Subramanya on twitter? I used to think she was a bit more balanced in her views and called out Pappu and his slaves on fake secularism and her general inclination was pro ModiJi and pro BJP. But of late, she seems to have joined the Lutyen mafia in attacking BJP. For example, she was mocking BJP’s euphoria on electrification saying even Congoons did good on that count. Has she switched sides? Or has she always been like Tavleen Singh with a good dose of Lutyen disease in her?

Una’s dalit flogging victims, along with 300 others, quit Hinduism
NEW DELHI: The four dalits who were flogged in 2016 for skinning a dead cow today converted to Buddhism along with about 300 others, to protest caste-based atrocities and discrimination.
Earlier this week, the four dalits and their family members were again threatened by the alleged accused after they announced their decision to renounce Hinduism.
Today, the victims and 45 members of their family embraced Buddhism at a ceremony in their native village Mota Samadhiyala, 15 km from Una.
Those who embraced Buddhism included Balu Sarvaiya, his wife Kunvarba, son Vashram and his wife Manisha, second son Ramesh and his wife Sonal, two nephews - Bechar and Ashok, Balu’s daughter Vanita besides several other relatives of the same family.
Talking to TOI over phone, Sarvaiya said, “It’s been over two years now that our sons were brutally flogged. However, till date, the state government has not extended any kind of help such as land or government jobs. Moreover, we haven’t got justice still and all the accused are on bail now.”
“After this incident, there was an uprising among the dalits. Though we became symbolic of atrocities on dalits after the incident, we continued to face discrimination. Members of our own community told us that why were we still adhering to a religion even after tolerating so much. Even today, we shiver whenever we see the video of flogging,” Sarvaiya added.
Sarvaiya also sent out a message to the cow vigilantes and said that he and his family members had taken up the profession of skinning dead cattle, which was given to us by their (gau rakshak’s) forefathers due to deeply rooted caste system.
“We have been forced to convert our religion because we think it would lend a momentum to the dalit uprising that was witnessed after the flogging incident. Other dalits too, who are silently suffering tortures, will also have to embrace Buddhism sooner or later,” he said.
No prominent dalit leaders such as Vadgam MLA Jignesh Mewani were present at the event christened, "Dhamma Diksha Mahotsav" - organized by the Sarvaiya family.
The Sarvaiya family had announced in January that they will renounce Hinduism, stating that they still face severe discrimination and brutal atrocities.
Sarvaiya did not speak very kindly about Mewani, who along with former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati was invited for the conversion ceremony.
“Mewani shot to limelight and became the face of dalit agitation in Gujarat after he raised our issue. But after that he has never cared to visit our or know our condition. I am not against him but we would have been happy.”
Sarvaiya even challenged Mewani to embrace Buddhism if he is a true follower of Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
Heavy security arrangement was made in and around the village along with Una town in wake of the threats that two of the brothers had received around four days ago by one of the 43 accused in flogging incident. Gir-Somnath superintendent of police Hitesh Joisar, five other deputy SPs from three districts were deployed to avert any tension or untoward incident.
Vashram and his brothers were flogged and paraded half naked by gau rakshaks in July 2016. The incident had sparked a massive uproar across the country and left dalit community fuming. It also triggered an angry dalit movement in Gujarat.
The other dalits who embraced Buddhism were from various villages of Una taluka. Three Buddhist monks, including two who came from Mumbai and UP, performed the spiritual ceremony.
What happened in Una on July 11, 2016?
On July 11, 2016, four people belonging to dalit community were flogged in public by members of a cow vigilante group for allegedly skinning a dead cow in Mota Samadhiyala village near Una in Gir Somnath district.
The victims, who are engaged in skinning in Mota Samadhiyala village near Una town, had brought dead cows. While they were skinning the cows, six persons in an SUV approached them and accused them of cow slaughter. The victims tried convincing them that they had brought the carcass for skinning.
However, the assailants did not heed to their pleading and started beating them with iron pipes and sticks. After stripping and thrashing them, they were tied behind the SUV and taken to the village.
They stopped their SUV on the main road and started thrashing them again. Three persons who tried to intervene were also beaten up with iron pipes.
After beating them in the village, the four Dalits were packed into the SUV and taken to Una town, 24 km away. Here, they were again tied to the vehicle and thrashed in full public view and taken to the police station.
The photos and video of the incident had caused widespread national outrage after they went viral on social media

With regards to journos, I now believe they will always go back to their presstitute genes, no matter if they flirt with logic and reason for a while, like Tavleen.crams wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 8:07 pmGuys, anyone following Rupa Subramanya on twitter? I used to think she was a bit more balanced in her views and called out Pappu and his slaves on fake secularism and her general inclination was pro ModiJi and pro BJP. But of late, she seems to have joined the Lutyen mafia in attacking BJP. For example, she was mocking BJP’s euphoria on electrification saying even Congoons did good on that count. Has she switched sides? Or has she always been like Tavleen Singh with a good dose of Lutyen disease in her?
We should be working to making MSM and its presstitutes completey irrelevant.
Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 2 (Mar 2018 - )
^^^ Interesting. Maybe I am confusing her for somebody else. I thought that she was the one that even the erudite Rajiv MalhotraJi quoted for taking on Congoons' fake secularism.
The problem with these Lutyen prestitutes is the huge gap than exists between them and the average rustic BJP/RSS bloke. The prestitutes are highly westernized, mostly deracinated and disconnected from their Hindu cultural roots, look up with white west for moral compass, and they condescendingly and patronizingly evaluate the outlook of the rustic blokes from their western vantage point. A more proud, nationalistic media will look at issues of secularism, feminism etc from an Indian Hindu cultural vantage point. And therein lies the huge gap and tension. When anyone from RSS/BJP does not subscribe to the "metoo" wannabe thinking, these prestitutes go an a public lynching of those poor blokes as supporting rapists and such. And given the power and reach these prestitutes have when compared with the sons-of-the-soil, the latter are simply outgunned. Couple that with the shudh Oxford English prestitutes have at their command, the subjugation of the rustics is complete, at least on DDM.

crams ji, How much impact do you think, people on SM and English media has when it comes to shaping the political ideology of the Mango man. It might give feel good factor to those who want Lootens loot to continue (as long as they get to pocket some of it) but really no one pays any attention to the tweets or forwarded WhatsApp messages.

Yeah, India Today found Modi's claim about all villages electrified to be false and those unelectrified villages have to be Dalit ones.
Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 2 (Mar 2018 - )
Ofcourse. I was waiting who would be the first off the block to disprove Modi.

Unfortunately we are not an Island. We need cooperation from many countries Governments and thier bureaucrat, Our bureaucrats, crpf, defence force personal. None of these fellows will have a positive attitude but will need especially defence to work for/ with the Indian Govt. Especially some in the forces will need to lay down their lives. These statements reduce hostility and give some quotes to justify when they do thier normal job. CG try doing a job and income which involves getting contributions from gulf based personal and minority community and you will understand .this is head of state and not political statement of Raga who never holds responsibility in his.life.Chandragupta wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 10:51 amSecularism zindabad.

I'm not sure about English media. But certainly, the vernacular media has an impact. A lot of people who were pro Modi have either become anti or neutral. Even people who are educated are constantly mislead and don't even know the basic facts about GST or why prices rose even though they should have fallen.Vikas wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 5:25 amcrams ji, How much impact do you think, people on SM and English media has when it comes to shaping the political ideology of the Mango man. I know the resident Modi stalwarts would like to ignore the noise and pretend everything is hunky dory but these are facts. Sure they are anecdotal but I don't feel the euphoria anywhere that I saw just after 2014. I would be more than happy to be proved wrong in 2019
