An inquiry by the Ministry of External Affairs found that Lucknow Passport officer Vikas Mishra overstepped his bound of duty while granting passports to interfaith couple Tanvi Seth and Anas Siddiqui which is why he will remain posted at Gorakhpur.

Immediate aftermath of this incident will be Muslims going to government offices and downright threaten the officials to do their bidding or else. Even today Police in every city turn a blind eye to Muslims all kinds of laws - traffic, encroachment, eve teasing and what not, just because of their political heft. Thanks to Visa Mata, this will extend to government offices now.

Sushma, Jetli and rajnath need to be fired or retired.. whatever it takes to get them out. If Congress has Rahul, BJP has these nut jobs

As some of us have been saying since pre 2014, the D4 needed to be banished like the plague, instead they hung around like a bad smell.

Clearly @rpolucknow is defending the indefensible. Tanvi Seth, per information in public domain, fails the test of new rules too. Issuing her with a passport despite wilful falsification of information on application is a mockery of the law. Period.

Rajnath Singh in this company? The man has done his "softie" soundbites everywhere but isn't he the one who (1) Squeezed the FCRA route for NGO and Church (2) Eliminated Naxal Threat in many states (3) Took a staunch stand on all internal Tukde Tukde agitations (4) clearly backs up MAD doctrine in J&K with actions?

Rajnath and Jaitley have done a fine job. To know more visit the internal security and economic forums on BRF. Sushma was doing fine till she suddenly tumbled over cow dung.

her focus on the paki medical visa thing was what caused the huge trolling backlash against her rather than the tanvi seth passport episode.

Tanvi seth was the straw that broke the camel's back and it acted as a trigger, a clear warning to the BJP not to take the Right Wing supporters for granted.

Can you change it to RajaRaja Chola or simply RajaRaja ?
You went from RajaRaja Chola (a major king with massive naval conquests to his name) to Chola Bhaturi (a food item)? Yikes !

There is no food item or combo named Chola Bhaturi, there is Punjabi Chole-Bhature, which the non-Punjabi northies call Chola-Bhatura (don't say that in front of a Sikh though, he won't like it).

A Chola Bhaturi is a person from Chola empire with Bhaturi surname, at least that is my interpretation!

Not a very significant event, but just for records..
Maharaja's college murder: Campus Front's amazing growth in Kerala campuses comes in focus .
Campus Front is the college outfit of NDF and PFI, a radical Islamist organisation. Two days back they murdered (one single stab piercing the heart) a student activist of the SFI. In Kerala, Islamists have always been pandered by communists. To offend the "communals" beef festivals were conducted in colleges mainly by SFI (with active background support from the radical Islamist outfits). Now the Islamist radicals have shown their true colours.
Every communist and their sympathizers in Kerala deserves to die. One less Hindu hater.

L-G bound by aid and advice of elected Delhi govt, says SC
What is the take on this verdict? Blow to "communals" or Blow to Kejri?

Big victory for Kejri.
That is cherry picking.

1) Delhi statehood demand thrown into dustbin

2) Apology for misbehaviour with IAS cadre

3) SC has made it illegal to [protest]/Live in LG residence.

To supplement the points made by Aditya_V the SC also said the LG is perfectly within his rights to act as per the advice of the President of the Nation. Since the President is constitutionally bound to act on the advice and council of the Cabinet, it is essentially a directive of the Home Ministry. On an issue where the advice of the Delhi Government differs from that of the Home Ministry the LG cannot be faulted for acting on the advice of the President of the Nation, the Supreme Court has ruled. Of course the SC has made the obligatory mention that LG cannot refer each and every decision of the Delhi Government to the President. But this of little comfort to Kejriwal. You would hardly expect the LG to refer the issue of promotion of a chaprasi in the Delhi Government for decision by the President or something trivial. So I don't know how the media is spinning it as a victory to Kejriwal and another instance of Blow to Modi nonsense.

Do we have a link to this new guide line? I checked up the Passport India web site and the MEA web site. No such directive seems to be at least made available to the public. My gut feeling is that the rules were clearly subverted to accomodate this couple's request. Once the passport was given Sushma Swaraj started a big face saving excercise.

The only references I could get on this were:-
Apply Anywhere in India for Passport Services
Applying for a passport using mPassport Seva Mobile App
I m sure Modi saar is Mahaan only Sushma is bad.
Well then let us ask Modi to resign? And make Sushma Swaraj the PM. Infact this is what many "seculars" secretly want. Looks like there are people who have a big personal grouse with Modi and thanks to that any one but him can hold any post in India.
Clearly @rpolucknow is defending the indefensible. Tanvi Seth, per information in public domain, fails the test of new rules too. Issuing her with a passport despite wilful falsification of information on application is a mockery of the law. Period.
Will check Twitter from non-official network. But do you have any information which says Tanvi Seth would fail the test even with the new rules? Please do share that if you come across the same.
gablu wrote:.However, on Wednesday, sources said that police verification has nothing to do with the address and it is done to check the criminal record and nationality of the applicant. "Adverse police report does not stand ground as government notification of May 21, 2018 clearly says that police verification is done only to ascertain nationality and to check whether the applicant has any criminal record.
I checked up the MEA and Passport India web site, and did not find any government notification dated May 21st, 2018 which states this. As per Passport Indian web site FAQ, police verification is still a mandatory process when it comes to issuance of passport. The FAQ also reads "In most cases of re-issue, depending on records available in the Passport Seva system, police verification may not be required or only post police verification may be required, exceptions being re-issue of passport in lieu of lost passport or complete change of name".

I completely agree with you here. I expect now more Islam khatre mein hein & Victimised due to being a Muslim/inter-faith dramas would start. At a state government level, they have pretty much achieved this. Now it would also happen in even more important matters like issuing of passports etc. That Sushma Swaraj also went ahead and organised an Iftaar etc. also an indication that she is slowly leaning towards the "secular" camp, with some agenda for LS 2019 elections.

Mean while in Kerala, the CPI(M) led government has been now forced to confess on some new findings. All except the state government; every one pretty much knew that this was the case.
1. Abhimanyu murder: Role of culprits in hand chopping case to be probed. The "hand chopping incident" mentioned here was that in which a Christian college teacher was targetted for "insulting" the prophet. Surprisingly even the clergy which has political clout disowned the poor man.
2. SDPI members intruding into SFI, others: Intelligence. This was pretty much obvious at least two years back when the "beef festival" charade was done across colleges in Kerala. The communists encouraged these kind of programs only to openly taunt the Hindu community. And now they have got what they deserved. There was a case of a Hindu SFI activist who had a "live in" relation ship with a Islamic extremist found hanging at their place of stay. The SFI organisation just disowned the case right after the whole Islamic angle came up. There were also rumours about Islamic radicals joining the police force itself and having their own shady WhatsApp groups.

Mean while, Assets of IS people to be seized.; again the "people" are from Northern district of Kerala.

When the fight comes to Christians against Muslims, the ecosystem will favor Muslims. This is true even for the west.

W.r.t #1 SC can not grant Statehood, only Parliament can. Thus it was not part of litigation so no question of SC throwing it in dustbin.

omg! this is unbelievable!
Robbery was intention behind setting Capt Abhimanyu's house on fire. House was properly burgled, robbers took away dog also, who has been seized by police.
CBI in the charge sheet said police was at forefront in fomenting violence and instigating mobs in Haryana during Jat reservation!!

I am now conditioned to assume the opposite, whenever I see some clickbait headlines.

It is either half-truth that's hyped up, or just blatant lie.
