Our tail looks long for a one day side.

Dhoni looks out of place now a days, becoming a liability as a lower order batsman.

Chahal bowling a no ball. Such a crime, especially since Miller is picking up from where ab left

Now a wide. Chahal will need a session with a psychologist 🤐

Now a 4 off misfielding. Plessis is due to come back next match.

Have been saying this for more than two years now. Looks like the selectors have decided to retain him till the world cup. Our tail is already looking tall with the absence of Jadeja. Ashwin too is a better batsman than the current spinners. Saving grace is Hardik Pandya who is the medium pace allrounder that most teams have and we have been looking for a long time.

I have not seen a player slow down so much with age like Dhoni. Tendulkar, Ganguly and few others slowed down due to reflexes, fitness or maturity, but Dhoni's slow down has been unbelievable. There are special players like Viv Richards, Sehwag or Gilchrist who will continue with their natural game right till their retirement or beyond, so cannot expect every batsman to have a perpetual attacking game. Any new gen kids now watching Dhoni will not believe that this guy was one of the most attacking and destructive batsman ever, even the glimpses and shots are missing (unlike Yuvraj or Jayasurya). Just looks like he has accepted his role as an anchor for whatever reason - not outs, longevity, IPL etc

Again.. too many mumbaikars in the team and on top of it, way too much chance given for their frivolous games. Pandya, Nohit, Iyer, Rahane all fall under the friv category., and they have shown only at occasions some good batting on flat pitches and straight balls.

Pandya for hell sake is a useless player. so is Jadhav. Sanju, Pant, and other younger gen must be considered trained under a better coach like Dravid than Shastri. Our data looks terrible against top 2 playing nations - SA, Oz.

too much kirrikat?

Selecting Rohit for Tests should be a criminal offence.
Now he needs to be dropped from the ODI side too. But then I bet he will read this post and come to the next ODI with guns blazing and hit a stroke filled 250. Reminds me of WV Raman from the 90s. A bunch of single digit performances, and when the clamor for dropping would be loud, he would hit a century or a 50 and buy himself some time.

Disappointed with Pandya. He seems to be more interested in hot chicks than in hot shots.

I feel if the there is nothing in wicket, Bhuv Kumar looks very ordinary and ineffective. Batsmen are treating him like a part time medium pacer.

Who is following whom? The men's team seems to win when the women's team wins. Today the India-W beat SA-W in T20 and India beat SA in ODI. Three days back both lost. Anyway congrats to both the teams.

 So now Rohit bhaisaab is set for another 10 ODIs at least where Kohli paaji tells everyone about his talent and so he can get by with minimum work of single digit scores until his next big knock.

Rohit Sharma has been consistent in ODIs for many years now.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/ ... n-100-odis
Only Rohit Sharma has scored more runs than Dhawan among all ODI openers since June 2013.
So since June 2013, Rohit Sharma scored more runs than any other opener in the world.

Lungi is better than Pandya. BTW, Rohit should be dropped because he instrumented both kaptaan and wise-kaptaan run outs. ;)

Instead of celebrating not just a massive series win (and conversely having avoided a massive series routs that are more used to), folks are breast beating.

Well done VK. Time for my rant now: Let MSD retire gracefully and allow Saha, Pant, or even Karthik to take the stage until the WC.

Pant or Samson are the most suitable candidates IMO. Samson used to struggle to score fast after the powerplay overs, just like Rahane. He is better now. Pant is too inexperienced and don't know if he can cope with England.

If Samson is not selected, some one on this forum will surely bust a nerve. :) .

KL Rahul should be in the team. We don't have a big hitter in the middle order.
