When is westworld season 2?

I have to watch it again. Really liked the exploring of AI, awareness, what is human etc concepts.

West World 2 is scheduled to air during Spring 2018. Dates not yet confirmed.

WW2 was fantastic...plot is a little slow for me.

I actually think the plot was way too fast.

they got to the juicy reveals of AIs, the lines between programmed behavior and human consciousness etc so soon..I was wondering those are the big reveals and they are already on it in early first season..where are they going to go next. what is there to explore.

I don't think this will be more than a few seasons though.

I’ve now watched the first 3 episodes of Star Trek Discovery. It’s pretty good and better than I expected. More like recent streaming shows where each show is not a stand alone program, but part of a long movie. It could probably be edited to make a big 10 hour film which would be one of the best Star Trek series in a long long time.

I recently saw two movies on the topic of after-life:
1. What Dreams May Come starring Robin Williams
2. Nosso Lar (Astral City: A Spiritual Journey)

Both have been well made, and largely devoid of any western-religious propaganda.
The first one stands out due to the performance of Robin Williams. Sadly, Williams chose to end his life by committing suicide while the film shows suicide as an inappropriate option of dying, since one is "stuck" in the after-life!
Anyone interested in life-death-reincarnation and time spent in the after-life can view them.
The first is available on HDpopcorns dawt com
Second one is on YouTube with subtitles.

I finished the second season of Attack of Titans. In the middle of Boku No Hero Academy.

Attack of titans is really slow, the pacing is a bit off though.

Last weekend I went with waifu to Kingsman part deux. Good timepass movie. Wanted to see more of channing tatum but some mexican actor got more screentime. He also was annoying af. The story did not make much sense, but highlight was seeing Elton John and those two crazy robotic dogs.

Movie is definitely a 3/5. Would have been a 2.5 but Elton John saved the movie.

Bellandur Central PVR is much inexpensive than Forum PVR. So going by bike, on a weekend, one can watch a movie + parking + food at the below udupi restaurant will cost around 600/-.

I was gonna write this after watching Netflix/Marvel Punisher trailer & GDF closing down. But the Las Vegas tragedy happened...

The Punisher trailer is so cool and is actually a border line irresponsible...in the sense that it is an unsolicited promotion for the NRA. Now Netflix/Marvel has cancelled the Punisher panel appearance in New York Comicon & subsequently delayed the release of Punisher series. They never gave an actual release date & rumors were that it could have been released as early this coming weekend (another rumor was that it would hit the web on Justice League release week to mess up some weekend numbers LOL) but now it could be pushed up to a Dec or even early 2018 release.

Finished boku no hero academy season 2. Excellent and well done anime. Story is taut and the characters have been fleshed out well. The final episode ended with a cliff hanger as the villain reveals himself to the main character.

40 years ago I was a normal human - who watched movies like anyone else. Then I got into college..

After having missed 99% of good movies for 40 years I am on a movie watching binge now. Please post names of good movies in the last 40 years (I'm serious) so I can choose. I have forgotten their names...

Same boat here :-)

I am an SF&F junkie and my second passion is Anime.

Somewhat less well known favorites of mine over the past few years.

1.Cloud Atlas (read the book if you can, adds a lot to the movie) - one of my all time favorites.
2. District 9
3. Source Code
4. 12 Monkeys
5. Man from Earth - amazingly good and low-budget, have to listen to the conversation very closely.
6. Primer - super low budget time-travel movie, have to pay close attention as the plot is complex.
7. Gattaca
8. The 13th Floor - I love Gretchen Mol in any role.
9. Existenz - another sleeper
10. Predestination - based on "All you Zombies'. If you thought Primer was complicated, this one will blow you away.
11. From Hell - Really dark movie based on the graphic novel (Alan Moore again), not really SF but very well done, Johnny Depp is great in this one.
12. Dark City
13. Strange Days - the ending is truly incredible - sort of a Sixth Sense moment.
13. Stormship Troopers - based on Robert Heinlein's book, amazing action footage, beats Jurassic Park any day.
14. A Scanner Darkly - somewhat depressing but well made, based on Philip K. Dick's book. Keanu Reaves in an unusual role.

And finally, perhaps the best graphic novel based movie with a somewhat less stellar adaptaion - Watchmen. The later release, the Ultimate Cut has the Black Freighter episode added I believe. Truly a dystopian super hero movie. I love Alan Moore's graphic novels.

Not listing blockbusters like Inception, Arrival, Interstellar, Gravity, Avatar, Matrix trilogy, Back to the Future trilogy or any of the Marvel/DC superhero stuff since that is quite well known any way.

Nayak Ji, interesting, you are an anime fan too. What are your favorite ones?

Currently my new favorite is one piece. I prefer watching in original Japanese language with English dubz. More entertaining with the high pitch abdominal excessive hamming.

Start with Downton Abbey. Arguably, the greatest TV series of the recent times.

Once you're done with that, you can move on to:
