Follow the whole series:

Folks, here's a thread on the 'motivated' journalism by #NDTV.
First noticed a distinct 'tilt' some years ago. Chronicled some, missed .

https://twitter.com/CestMoiz/status/906173482051944448

Image

Image

Then there is the issue of calling Kashmiri terrorists anything but that 'T' word. Happens far too many times to be a mere coincidence
Image

Image

But we are getting ahead of ourselves. Getting back to 'alleged' .. apparently #NDTV is allegedly the BEST at use of the word 'alleged'!
Image

God bless the person who came up with this word, 'Alleged' .. a godsend for the good folks at #NDTV!
It's allegedly a way of life there!
Image

10
Then there is the 'small' issue of territorial integrity of the Union of India.
Who needs PoK / Aksai Chin, no?
Image

Image

Image

Image

Moving on to editorial 'oversights'
He is 'a' VK Singh. Of course, #NDTV won't mention his rank which he carries even post retirement!
Image

Damn, I missed this one - another #NDTV tweet putting Indian territory up for negotiation. Yup, 'disputed' is the official GOI line, no?
Image

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-ePJ7KIEkY
Nidhi Razdan being ripped by British MP Barry Gardiner, Nidhi Razdan almost begs UK MP to reject Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi & he tells her to have some self respect as an Indian, She questions Supreme Court to please her Political Masters. British MP Barry Gardiner Surprised !!!!!
Cant even say, an extra word more.

Image

Image

Of course, the bread and butter - FACTUAL Reporting - too is sometimes up for 'tempering' (NOT tampering, mind you), when deemed fit

Tata Power has also asked for pollution free Diwali. This is a concerted effort in which govt is party.
On the day of judgement heavy weight tweeple like IP Patel, some others were tweeting in favour of ban but changed tone when they saw tsunami coming.

Happy Diwali
Don’t be Apologetic about Diwali - Enjoy it
In my city of Bengaluru alone - 4 lakhs Animals are Killed on Eid which includes 10000 Large animals like Cattle and Camels
It generates 300 tonnes of animal waste which is just buried in pits near Kogilu on the city outskirts
For 14 lakh Muslims in Bengaluru - 4 lakh Animals killed
Even if one Animal weighs 10 kg then can an average person eat 3 kg meat on single day ?
And mind you this includes kids and infants also
So most of the meat goes waste though people might claim we give it to poor
If you conflate this number to whole of India then imagine the number of Animals killed on the single day ?
For 200 millon it must be at least 20 millon Animals
And 200 millon kgs of Meat and staggering 8 billon kgs of Green House gases or Carbon dioxide and we are not even calculating the lakhs of tonnes of bio waste generated
And now conflate this number to the whole world
It is 200 millon Animals 80 billon kgs of CO2
Now let us come to ThanksGiving in USA - 45 million Turkeys are killed
Christmas in US - 25 million Turkeys are killed
In US 30 million trees are chopped off every year to make Christmas Tree
Which is huge pollution
And 50 million artificial trees are used which is made of plastic and is even more polluting
On Independence Day July 4th USA uses 1 billion Worth of fire crackers which is 5 times more than what India uses in an whole year
Chinese use more times more firecrackers on Chinese New Year alone that what US does on July 4
World wide on New year billions Worth Fire crackers are used
Hindu festivals are the only Eco Friendly festivals on Earth
As most of Hindus eat only Vegetarian food on festivals
Other wise every other religion the meat is the most important item on a festival or any celebration
But when it comes to narrative it is only hindu festivals which are being maligned as polluting
Holi - Water Pollution so Waterless Holi
Ganesh - Sea or River Pollution So Green Ganesh
Dussehra - Riots/ sexual abuse so don’t go dandia or no Durga Idol immersion
Diwali - Air Pollution so no fire crackers
Have you seen any one raising topic of Pollution on Christmas New year or Eid ?
Has anyone campaigned for Veg Xmas or Green New Year or No killing on Eid ?
So don’t let breaking India forces take the fun out of Diwali
Let the festivals of lights
Hindu festivals are green by nature as Hindus worship nature and all tHe festivals are born out of nature worship
PS - The most comprehensive report on Delhi Pollution by IIT Kharagpur has not included Fire crackers in the report
Road Dust, Concrete batching, Vehicles, Coal tandoors, Crop burning, industries are responsible for Delhi air pollution.... courtesy : Vishu Vardha

Tata Power and Panasonic immediately did some downhill skiing and deleted their tweets. Heard that LG was forced to stop celebrating green diwali too by sanghis.

SOCIAL MEDIATwitter users force Tata, Samsung and Panasonic to delete their ‘preachy’ Diwali tweets
Diwali, the festival of lights, is a special occasion for millions of Hindus who celebrate it with a huge pomp and show. Apart from the festivity, the festival also attracts a form of virtue signalling where various various eminent personalities and brands lament about the alleged pollution hazards the festival causes, while not appearing to do anything worthwhile to curb pollution for the rest of the year.

We had already carried a report that shows how firecrackers burst during Diwali are not the main pollution hazard, especially in the Delhi-NCR. Apart from that, use of firecrackers has progressively been going down as people have shunned them voluntarily, yet, motley of activists keep on shaming people for bursting crackers as if they are the central reason for pollution.

Such condescending and preachy attitude, especially in wake of Supreme Court banning sale of firecrackers in Delhi-NCR, led many people to feel angered and frustrated. And they felt the same, when some top brands on Twitter decided to do the same
After Panasonic it was noticed that, Samsung and Tata Power (arguably one of the major ‘pollutants’) had put up such tweets on earlier Diwali. But this Diwali, the sense of being wronged and being preached unnecessarily was strong, so these brands also came under attack:
Such a sustained pressure by the netizens probably made the companies realise that it was creating a negative brand perception and the all three deleted their preachy tweets. Tata Power possibly even got into damage control mode and later put out this tweet, which was not blatantly anti-cracker and preachy:

Diwali is upon us and here is a tip for having a #SafeDiwali. Burn firecrackers in an open space like a field to avoid any mishap.

many corporate houses think their buyers come from uber cool types who will wag tail on no to firecrackers ...obviously they r detached from grass root. Also do not realise that how angry people are at court's order.
this is also likely their missionary educated HR managers/publicity in charge have a role to play. can you think of more reasons why they think saying no to firecrackers will increase their sale?

morally bankrupt corporates trying to suck up to the in-crowd, then a quick pullback as consumer sentiment turns bad.

another war on twitter where Javed Akhtar is trying to prove Mughals were great, greater than British and greatest than Hindu..
we should be obliged to Moghul rule cos they gave us architecture etc etc..life was great and rive of milk flew..
why so many Mughal apologists and why they take pride in identifying as Moghul rather than Indian?

Does he even know that even 326 reading of PM2.5 and 367 reading of PM10 are about 20 times higher than the EPA recommended standard?

No wonder every minute 5 Indians die because of pollution.

there is plan to completely ban firecrackers next year this is very much visible, under able guidance of Modi saar, of course next day he will visit a temple and many bhakts will be happy to see him coming out of a temple, so what if a tradition got lost, he is Hindu messiah!

Yuvraj Singh was lecturing people on Twitter not to pollute the air with fireworks during Diwali and it was then pointed out he had fireworks at his wedding.

Virat Kohli did the same yet he says nothing about IPL fireworks.

It's a criminal offence, Mr @narendramodi, to impersonate a soldier in uniform. The only uniform you've the right to wear is khaki knickers.
