New Rules by MHA

OCI cardholders will Now need to take Special Permission from Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO) or Indian Mission For - Missionary, Tabligh, Journalistic Activities in India

What it means: Tightening the noose for goondas like vardarajan of the Breaking India gang

OCI cardholders require special permit if they want to undertake missionary, 'Tabligh' activities: MHA

Mar 5, 2021

NEW DELHI: All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders are required to take special permission from the central government if they want to be involved in any missionary, 'Tabligh' or journalistic activities in the country.

The OCI cardholders have parity with Indian nationals in the matter of tariffs in airfares in domestic sectors, entry fees for visiting national parks, national monuments and museums in India.

An official from the Union home ministry said these rules were part of the 'brochure' published by it in 2019 and were recently consolidated and notified.

The ministry, in its notification issued on Thursday, said the OCI cardholders are entitled to get multiple entry lifelong visa for visiting India for any purpose but "required to obtain a special permission or a special permit from the Foreigners Regional Registration Officer or the Indian Mission to undertake research and to undertake any missionary or Tabligh or mountaineering or journalistic activities".

It is also necessary for OCI cardholders to take a special permit to undertake internship in any foreign diplomatic missions or foreign government organisations in India or to take up employment in any foreign diplomatic missions in India or to visit any place which falls within the protected or restricted or prohibited areas as notified by the central government or competent authority.

In March 2020, when the nationwide lockdown was in force following the coronavirus outbreak, over 2,500 Tablighi Jamaat members found to be residing at the organisation's headquarters in Delhi despite guidelines and orders issued against large congregations of people.

As many as 233 foreign Tablighi workers were arrested for violations of visa rules and many of them were blacklisted, putting a ban on their future visit to India.

Tablighi Jamaat workers, both foreigners as well Indians, indulge in preaching tours across the country also known as 'Chilla' in which a volunteer of the organisation travels for 120 days to various parts of the country and stay in local mosques where they inform the neighbourhood people about their activities besides holding special prayers.

The home ministry said the OCI cardholders are exempted from registration with the Foreigners Regional Registration Officer (FRRO) or Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) for any length of stay in India, but they have to inform the FRRO or FRO concerned through email whenever there is a change in permanent residential address and in their occupation.

According to the notification, they have parity with Indian nationals in the matter of tariffs in air fares in domestic sectors in India, entry fees to be charged for visiting national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, the national monuments, historical sites and museums in India.

An OCI cardholder is a foreign national holding a passport of a foreign country and is not a citizen of India.

They have parity with Non-Resident Indians in the matter of inter-country adoption of Indian children subject to the compliance of the procedure as laid down by the competent authority, appearing for the all India entrance tests such as National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Joint Entrance Examination (Mains), or other such tests to make them eligible for admission only against any Non-Resident Indian seat or any supernumerary seat, provided that the OCI cardholder shall not be eligible for admission against any seat reserved exclusively for Indian citizens, the notification read.

The OCI cardholders also have parity in purchase or sale of immovable properties other than agricultural land or farm house or plantation property and pursuing professions like doctors, dentists, nurses and pharmacists in India as per the provisions contained in the applicable relevant statutes or laws

Mixed feelings personally about the new OCI rules. I am seriously contemplating returning to India but the new rules about NRI quota seats for kids etc are worrying. Any clarity on how these affect working and tax situation for oci holders in India?

To start direct payment of MSP to farmers, FCI asks Punjab govt for land records

The March 4 letter said that FCI, Zonal Office (N), Noida, has directed that land records are a must for wheat procurement in RMS 2021-22.

The director has been asked to update the land records on the Annaj Khardi Portal before commencement of the RMS 2021-22 to avoid complications.

The Food Corporation of India’s (FCI) Punjab office on Thursday wrote to the director of food, civil supplies and consumer affairs seeking land records of farmers so as to make direct online payment of Minimum Support Price (MSP) to their bank accounts from the upcoming Rabi marketing season (RMS).

The March 4 letter said that FCI, Zonal Office (N), Noida, has directed that land records are a must for wheat procurement in RMS 2021-22.

The director has been asked to update the land records on the Annaj Khardi Portal before commencement of the RMS 2021-22 to avoid complications.

The letter further says: “It is requested to share data of land records and convey to the office where to find it so that FCI shall verify land records of farmers during RMS 2021-22 with regard to FCI’s own purchase.”

The issue of direct payment to farmers accounts is something the Centre has been mulling for the past couple of years as it wants to remove middlemen from the process. Currently, arhtiyas (commission agents) get the payments in their accounts, which they in turn pay to farmers through cheques. The Centre has to pay 2.5 per cent commission to arhtiyas who facilitate procurement of the crop from farmers to government agencies and take commission for that from the government.

The Arhtiya Association of Punjab has already filed a petition in court against this, and also had the support of some farmers.

Currently, the government pays around Rs 1,400 crore-worth of commission annually for procurement of wheat and paddy only.

Cash-strapped Pakistan ‘not interested’ in buying Coronavirus vaccines, happy with donated vaccines and supposed herd immunity

Cash-strapped Pakistan ‘not interested’ in buying Coronavirus vaccines, happy with donated vaccines and supposed herd immunity
Pakistan claimed that a survey, dating back to June last year, found that 15% of the population had 'developed' antibodies against the Coronavirus. As such, the authorities have decided to not vaccinate them.

In a major development, Pakistani authorities have informed that they have no plans to purchase Coronavirus vaccines, at least for the year 2021. The cash-strapped country is willing to rely upon herd immunity and donated vaccines from China and Gavi to contain the pandemic.

The matter came to light during the briefing of the Pakistani National Health Service (NHS) before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Thursday (March 4). NHS Secretary Amir Ashraf Khawaja said that a Chinese company by the name of Sinopharm has promised to donate 1 million Coronavirus doses to Pakistan.

He informed that about 5 lac doses have already been handed over to the government and that a total of 2.75 lac people have been vaccinated. Although Pakistan has a population of 22.5 crores, it is planning to vaccinate only 7 crore people by the end of this year. The Imran Khan-led-government will also receive 16 million Made-in-India Coronavirus vaccines through the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (Gavi) programme.

Pakistan’s vaccination programme for the elderly delayed
On being asked by PAC whether the Pakistani government has been waiting for free vaccines, NHS Secretary Amir Ashraf Khawaja replied, “We wouldn’t need to purchase much.” He said that the Made-in-India Coronavirus vaccines will reach Pakistan, starting from March itself. Pakistan’s over-reliance on donated vaccines is proving costly as the inoculation programme for the elderly that was scheduled from March 5 has been kept on hold due to a delay in receiving the consignment of vaccines.

MunsJi,

What are your thoughts on these bogus farmer protests being debated in UK parliament. My blood boils. What is even more disgraceful is out Lutyen scum actually draw parallel between an innocuous Howdy Modi event by ModiJi and Khalistani and Islamist traitors use UK/US govts to denigrate and mock India.

This useless SuSwamy's daughter Suhasini Haider (man how the f!ck does a bimbo like her get to to pontificate on foreign policy is beyond me) was going on about how India can criticize TSP's human rights record but UK can't. And that mullah Sreenivasan Jain let her get away with it? What f!king human rights of farmers were violated in India? I mean the so called farmers have been camping illegally in the outskirts of Delhi with all kinds of luxuries. The Indian govt has had dozens of rounds of talks. Govt has been willing to put the laws in suspension, and mullah Jain didn't have the guts nor the intelligence to ask both that bimbo and a UK Khalistani he had on as to what human rights of farmers have been violated? And comparing with Paki inhuman barbarian treatment of Hindus? My goodness, India has way too much freedom of expression to say any crap and just get away with it.

CRamS,
Maybe about 15 years ago I had a brief stint in the United Kingdom for approximately one or two years. Sort of transition before coming over here to the US. Even then, couple of things were somewhat apparent to me. As a whole the UK was going down economically, and many citizens were often talking about leaving the UK and going for greener pastures with regard to Australia or even the United States. They just weren’t that much confidence in their futures for remaining in the UK.

At that time and I have to do more research on this, I could not really understand the driving force behind the UK economy. A quick Google search shows that it is financial services and maybe tourism. Manufacturing is nothing really to be talked about.
I guess, what I’m coming to is that the UK is basically a spent force. They are pretty much reliant on international partners especially the United States for any kind of global leverage. Colonial vestiges as well as dreaming of empires gone by is the nostalgia that the United Kingdom struggles with, I feel on a daily basis. The biggest thing to come out of the United Kingdom in the last few years is the racism scandal with Harry and Megan.

It’s in this backdrop, I feel that the UK chooses to have debates on India. Frankly, I really don’t think anybody else including Indians or us here in the US should really give a d**n.

Some of them I do it for their own local constituencies i.e., Bradfordistan etc., but I think in the global scheme of things they’ll still come begging to us for vaccines.

I wouldn’t really think too much of it. The power shift I think towards the east happened a few decades ago and continues to grow. The only news channels that will serve to give this news are those boot licking for their own propaganda and religious war.

Chetakji,

That above article on Pakistan regarding herd immunity is absolutely priceless. So basically the Pakistani strategy to combating coronavirus is to make sure that everybody actually gets the coronavirus were that they effectively have the antibodies.

Wah! Vat a strategy I say…Jiye Jiye Bakistan…. They would rather die in the lakhs then ask India directly for a few million doses of coronavirus vaccine. Bakistani Izzat…. Is more important than the lives of its citizens….

I think that is a good strategy to combating the Korana Virus… I vigorously hope that they succeed in their mission with regard to making sure that herd immunity leads the day.

More Corona, less Korana virus….

Gazipur border protest is dying itself. People are not collecting there. only some old people and some youth are there. No new people are coming. People are going to their home because of upcoming festival Holi. No media is there. When government was trying to solve the issue tikait and others don't want now government is also not paying attention. Traffic lane from one side is open now. May be by the end of march they all will leave the place. Because in India after holi crops will start cutting. That time everyone has to be on their farms. But still Kejriwal giving them essential services like water and potaloos. I am hoping that by end of the month no one will be there.

a firm middle finger should be shown to idiots and woke asshats like Sandeep Sancheti, former vice chancellor of SRM Institute of Science and Technology.

So @SitaramYechury's plan to convert Engineering into social science and thus produce urban naxals (of JNU bandicoots type) like rabbits falls flat on the face........
If the u-turn has been taken so quickly and the decision reversed, there has definitely been some very dirty work at the crossroads.

AICTE does a U-turn on ‘no maths-physics’ for engineering

Mar 13, 2021,

A day after TOI reported that mathematics and physics at Class XII-level had been made optional for admission to engineering courses, the All-India Council for Technical Education chairperson on Friday clarified that the changes were not binding on institutions.

CHENNAI: A day after TOI reported that mathematics and physics at Class XII-level had been made optional for admission to engineering courses, the All-India Council for Technical Education chairperson on Friday clarified that the changes were not binding on institutions.

Hours later, the AICTE withdrew its approval process handbook (APH) for 2021-22, which had the new eligibility criteria. AICTE chairperson Anil Sahasrabudhe said the new guidelines were futuristic and in keeping with the vision of the National Education Policy-2020.

Physics, chemistry and maths would continue to be important subjects in engineering courses, but students would have the option to study biotechnology, textile or agriculture engineering through bridge courses. These guidelines were not compulsory, Sahasrabudhe said.

By afternoon, the AICTE website carried a ticker: “It is to inform all concerned that APH 2021-22 has been withdrawn for a short period and to be placed again on the AICTE website within a day or two”.

By nighttime, the announcement read: “It is to inform all concerned that APH 2021-22 has been withdrawn for a typographical corrections and it will be placed again on the AICTE website within a day or two.”

The AICTE move had drawn wide protests, and a few voices in support. Welcoming the AICTE’s decision to withdraw the new criteria, Anna University vice-chancellor M K Surappa said maths is very critical to engineering.

However, Sandeep Sancheti, former vice chancellor of SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai, said, “In principle, making Class XII-level maths and physics optional for engineering admissions is a good move. It will keep the entry open for someone who wants to correct his or her path.”

however, there is some disturbing news on this front

Who is giving permission to Kisan Social Army to construct permanent houses at Tikri Border? Is the place owned by Kisan Social Army? Who is giving electricity, water supply etc to those houses? When will this lawlessness end at Tikri Border?

who/what is this Kisan Social Army and how did the kisans militarize, albeit even in a so called social sense. It has been known for a long time now that these "kissan" guys are uncontrollable, and very violence-prone and well protected under the benign cover fire of a woke and liberal media ready to whitewash all and every sin committed in the name of "farmers", while toolkit wielding climate change activists scheme and plot revolution, all the while cheering from the sidelines.

how can khujliwal continue to support this illegal protest in the name of FOE

ANI@ANI·5h

Kisan Social Army has constructed a permanent shelter at Tikri border as protest against farm laws continues

"These houses are strong, permanent just like the will of the farmers. 25 houses built,1000-2000 similar houses to be built in coming days,"Anil Malik, Kisan Social Army

Over 200000 Hindu refugees from Pak living in Jammu since 1947 denied citizenship rights by K Muslim rulers till 2019, but none visited them.

There are times when I criticize ModiJi, and here is an instance:

https://www.news18.com/news/india/vasud ... 28095.html

I mean the whole world is p!ssing on India through freedom house and2-bit institutes from Sweden and such, and ModiJi responds with vasudhaiva kutumbakam BS. In addition, this statement is laughable on another count because the world is not lining up to be part of our Hindu family. I am sure ModiJi knows this, but does he really think Muslims, Christians, and Chincoms will stop their aggression against India all because he declares whole world is one family. Will US and EU open the flood gates and let any Hindus who want to come in, just come in?

CRamS,
Was thinking regarding this. I’m not quite sure who Modiji is really appealing to. Is he appealing to the governments of US, UK, Sweden as you say? Or can it be that he is appealing to disheartened perhaps disenfranchised citizens of these countries to consider something else?
We already know that the Abrahamic religions have had close to 2000 years of heyday in which they have consistently run-of-the-mill power and propaganda to run the narrative of them versus us. In this narrative of history, it is Abraham sowing the seed of religious intolerance leading over the millennia to come all countless hundreds of millions who have died as a result of this philosophy.

So much so now that I feel that they are so many disenfranchised educated citizens of these countries albeit minority that are now questioning such inhumane intolerance.
I’m quite sure that the majority in these countries, will really not give care what Modi series of these international forum regarding Vasudeva Kutumbakam. Many of them will simply bat an eye, graciously accept millions of doses of vaccine and move on.

However, there is a growing hidden number I feel of such people in these countries who are already questioning the Abrahamic narrative. Modi, may not get much traction for saying it once on international forum. However, he has been seeing this now for quite some time. He repetitively says it. Something to that end where it feels almost expected. To these hopefully disenfranchised, all it takes is spark perhaps to ignite something more. What I am hoping is that we start to see a larger and larger trend with regard to return to native religions and I think that on some level this is already ongoing.

I guess what am trying to say is, it’s not the first time he has said it. He’s been saying it for a couple of years. This goes along with other programs that he is tried to initiate including world yoga day.
What we need is greater and greater countries and individuals who will hopefully identify with India then what has been previously etched into their memory for so long. Perhaps India can give that guidance.

I really hope that this accident doesn't become a turning point with regard to Mamta Propaganda war. With absolutely nothing left in the Kitty, like every other election this is turning out to be Slug fest where you can accuse the opposition of doing anything without facts.

Numerous public personalities seem to be ditching the TMC. Have not really heard much of substance with regard to Mamtas speeches apart from the usual charade of BJP being communalistic and division politics.

In fact, I think this is the trend across all of these States where BJP's contesting in trying to purely label as an outsider party...Image

It just pains me beyond words to see India being run down so mercilessly by so called Indians themselves. This berating of India for 'intolerance', downgrading India on freedom status, US defense sec poking India in the eye on these counts, and all the libarandus gloating is just shameful. I don't know how much all this means in substantial terms, but it sure creates a huge chasm between us nationalists and other Hindus hating Indians. Because make no mistake, whites themselves don't pay too much attention to us SDRE Hindus, but its the Uncle Tom Hindus who are orchestrating all this viscous propaganda. Two things stand out on my mind:

1. With India not being able effectively silence whites by pointing to their own 'human rights' records and racism, its clear India has miles to go before it can engage whites on an equal footing

2. India is on an undeclared civil war between Dharmic nationalist forces and colonized Hindus + Islamists + Christian + Maoists etc., who cannot stomach seeing themselves out of power and shaping an India in their mold

You’re right CRamS, far too many Jaichands who want to see nothing less than the return of the Massa in the hope that their own position in life will be elevated. I simply cannot understand what is the role apart from just plain greed. As a properly said a couple of times before what would you think is their motivation?

It is not just these Jaichands, but they really seem to be a global game at play to try and discredit Hindus and eons of civilizational culture. Take for instance this lady in Rutgers University. I’m sure that you have heard of her.
What I find amazing is that, “professors” like her, can study for maybe 5 to 10 years and then act with authority on Indian sacred texts as well as learning and understanding that has been ongoing in the guru parampara tradition for almost 3 millennia.
When posed with such obvious flaws, they often take to a position of “being attacked “along with their family and friends.

Take as to this scenario, an uninvited guest crashes you party and then with an obscenely disgusting attitude seeks to release foul gas all over participants who were present.
When the guests ask, what is this foul gas that you are releasing? The uninvited guest rapidly starts to shout that you should be privileged to smell the gas and to enjoy it as the truth.
When participants leave the party because of the foul gas, the uninvited guest in this case then starts to holler that Hindutva forces and Modi are conspiring against her.

I think she should be equally strong to take the criticism, from numerous scholars should such expulsion disturbs the minds of all including young students on the campus.
CRamS, we should all use the small power that we have on social media to do exactly what she hates. Write letters as well as use influences to completely shut down her media profile.
It’s only a matter of time before learned “professors” like this will eventually go into hiding.

We should each ask ourselves, what can we do to contribute to this overwhelming shut down social media wise of the Jaichand forces. Use our strengths! Create a list of these Jaichands and completely shut them down.

In the case of the lady below, I would definitely label her as a Hindu genocide enabler.

What's going on in Maharashtra can be said to be nothing else but a sellout on many levels by Uddhav. To task Deshmukh into extorting prominent leaders around Mumbai for his own profit scheme shows the kind of Mafia ring he leads...

Shivaji would clap the man left and right...how many Hindus must we see selling themselves out to line their own pockets...
Only a matter of time before this whole scam is out in the open....

Has it got enough pressure to bring down Sena...doubt it...propped up by Pawar and the unholy Vatican alliance...it'll continue I feel...I only hope that Maharashtrians now see the folly of the Sena and how far they have danced to Pawar and Sonia tune...
