Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017

But govt's silence shows it is incapable , weak , ineffective , or indifferent , uncaring - or all of the above - take your pick Sir, you are just blindly expecting Govt. of India to just do exactly what one group demands it to do. This is when the very same group, have not tried any routes which a...

First they came for the Jallikattu , and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Tamil and didn’t give a damn about Jallikattu Then they came for Dahi Handi and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Marathi and didn’t celebrate Gokulashtami Then they came for Deepavali firecrackers , and I did n...

Actually, BRF is an echo chamber. Out in the real world, nobody is giving a shit for the cracker ban. I got pummeled by my 'educated' friends when I defended the use of firecrackers. I realised that most Hindus are just dhimmis. ----------------------------------------------------- Your so called e...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017

Deepavali should be celebrated as a festival of sound and light and of victory of good over evil People are taking the tag line festival of light too literally and saying where is the need for fire crackers etc If so why even make or buy sweets , buy new clothes , or even do the Deepavali Puja and w...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017

Net to net result is that; Hon.SC orders do not get really carried out on the ground, and even "secular" parties later cannot say that the central government did not do much. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ How can people celebrate with fire crackers when they can't buy them from nearby shops They would have to...

There was a lot of fun deriding the various bans last year as a sign oi f intolerance ( booze ban , beef ban , ) but no such outrage now when the SC takes the law into its own hands to ban crackers
because people supposed to stand by hindu sentiments are supporting the ban.

Re: Tax laws in India / world , and proposed tax laws for India

Wealth Tax in general is a bad idea for the foll reasons : 1. The govt is not assured of a stable revenue stream 2. It goes against the cardinal principle of double taxation - you get taxed on earned income , and again on the assets you have built up 3. It favours people who are current income earne...
