@crams man, let me ask you the same question. Contract worth Rs 22,000 crore which was originally supposed to go the public sector HAL which has 70 years worth of experience building planes goes to Anil Ambani's company in a completely non-transparent manner when his company has 0 experience of bui...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
Or Shivaji for that matter. His 30-year path to Chattrapati was marked with a lot of collaboration, wheeling-dealing, shifting allegiances, retreats, and occasionally outright tactical surrenders before Muslim feudatories of Bijapur and the Mughals. I don't think people recognize how much on the bac...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
After GST the momentum has turned negative for BJP (Demo was very positive for BJP). This NIRAV incidence only accelerates that process. Far worse than that. It does not merely accelerate it but catastrophically advances it to the extent of kicking the bottom out of the social contract that drove t...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
The Nirav Modi episode is a crisis beyond anything that has happened so far for the NaMo GOI. Combined with NDA2's utter failure to prosecute anyone for any of the myriad scams that took place under UPA, it will seriously tarnish NaMo's image as an anti-corruption warrior, which was definitely a key...

Pure garbage. He doesn't know how Modi functions. Modi is not Khilji that he will execute all those who worked for the previous regime. Except the recalcitrant he will make them work for him. Home ministry has worked the best in near memory. Naxalite violence is down and Islamist violence outside K...

Rahul Mehta's entire political and social media career is based on trivialisations. Unfortunately, his prolific posts on this forum mark it as a hub of trivialisation in the eyes of any first-time visitor. If the intention is to turn BGF into a forum that's read widely and taken seriously, the way B...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
As a baseline, NDA in 2014 won 336 LS seats, with 282 for the BJP alone.
I would hope for 362+ NDA in 2019 (2/3 majority). 297-305 is really cutting it a bit close (hope that takes into account the possible absence of Shiv Sena from NDA).

Is this Gallup poll bad news for 2019? Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
Simple pooch here. The 2G and Adarsh Verdicts reveal (1) that the judiciary is compromised, and (2) that, specifically relating to scams which broke when UPA was in power, the ability to prosecute the UPA criminals involved is compromised. This is because of collusion between the (then-) political p...

They could be non-sikhs dressed as Sikhs ! Very good point. Congress is the party that was responsible for Bhindranwale's rise in the first place (also Pirabhakaran's, in a different part of the subcontinent). Congress is also neck-deep in collusion with Pakistan's ISI. Congress, in addition, has a...

The issue has been discussed to death, and there is clearly only one long-term solution to J&K: elimination of Article 370, plus the aggressively incentivized mass-migration of non-Muslims to the state and especially the valley. Facilitated by very large scale government interventions including tax ...

To add to the above. The Indic Collective appeal that Shefali Vaidya posted on FB was enough to get her banned. Why do we think that is? I want to highlight something really quickly.
