Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

Curbing press freedom is good for India and HIndus? Curbing crooks is good for India. Not good for you and your buddies. And you are thekedar of Indians and Hindus? Speak for yourself. Commies can always wank off thinking of Mao or Marx! Why are you bothered with all them pesky Hindu heathens my de...

Simple rule.

If Haldiram opposes something, 9 times out of 10, it is good for Indians and Hindus.

Use that & simplify decisions.

Curbing press freedom is good for India and HIndus?

And you are thekedar of Indians and Hindus? Speak for yourself.

All this suggestions of banning or targetting TV channels is bad idea. It will lead to a culture of vendetta banning/targeting every time the govt. changes and in democracies govt. does change after 1 term or 2 term.

I think tribals are allowed to avail SC quota benefits irrespective of their religion. I recall from my undergrad days almost all the tribals, whether from Central Indian tribal belt, or north east , or south, were christians. I'm not sure. Tribals fall under ST (scheduled tribe).. when you convert...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

2019 is going to be a BIG loss for Modi & company. Today, Aaj tak reported announcement of SP and BSP alliance on Mayawati birthday as per it's sources. If this happens , BJP will struggle to get even 20 seats. Forward castes will either abstain , choose NOTA or many will go with thug bandhan. BJP ...

If SP/BSP/Congress arithmetic works like it did the bypolls of Gorakhpur, Phulpur, and Kairana then BJP will find it hard pressed to win more than 25 seats instead of the 62 listed.

Corporate India has always backed Cong. They have been in power for close to 60 years. Like any empire/dynasty they will have their people in every nook and corner of the country. That is why it is necessary for BJP to win elections to bring down this machinery. Otherwise it will be back to old bus...

The population control bus left a long time ago. I would fault Nehru and all the successive govts. for not enforcing castration. Highly unethical, but how else the population would have been controlled in a country like India? Slogans like "Bachche do ya teen, bus", or "Bachche do hi achche" did not...

There is such a narrow margin of loss in RJ and MP for the BJP that one wonders what if? If you go to the EC site, the NOTA numbers are very significant. RJ first: INC votes: 1,393,5201 (39.3%) BJP votes: 1,375,7502 (38.8%) ---------------- Difference: 177,699 in favor of INC NOTA votes: 467,781 (1...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

To be fair to them, a lot of people supported DeMo because they thought eventually, there will be respite. But none came. Jaitley made a mockery of tax payers. Modi is doing what Vajpayee did - handing over overflowing GoI coffers to Congis to loot for 10 years. They should have crashed tax rates e...

Bigger question is, what did MP/CG voters see in Congress to vote for it? Is Rahul Baba's stupidity finally appealing to masses? Good question, this was more a vote against BJP than pro Congress. This trend has been going on for sometime (BJP losing Karnataka and 17 out of last 19 by polls) will co...

^ Regarding revitalization of defence after 10 years of MMS. If defence was deliberately made to suffer, then it is a traitorous act. The logical steps for any person with a majority vote / backing of stalwarts like Ajit Doval would be: 1. Replenish stocks on war footing. 2. Take the UPA to task, h...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

^Ultimately the buck stops at Modi. If he wanted he could have asked to shift the foundation day to 16th Dec., just 3 weeks of postponement. I don't think postponing the foundation day by 3 weeks would have particularly angered the Sikh community, they would have understood. Now Paki are gloating to...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

Kartarpur corridor is not the problem, problem is agreeing to 26/11 as foundation day for this corridor on the 10th aniversary of 26/11/2008. Paki deliberately and mischievously chose 26/11 and we fell for it? This was a great insult to the memory of Indians who were killed by Paki terrorists on thi...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

What is the story between RBI and GoI tussle? With the 2nd anniversary of demonitisation coming in soon, media has started spinning a story that the nation's financial position is a mess, and RBI Gov is being forces by GoI to take bad decisions. And that he may resign as well. CBI, RBI - "seculars"...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

Looks like poor preparation from the BJP side. And yes, generally in bye-polls the current winner (ruling government's party) has higher chances of winning. The "seculars" are now quite sure that they will also win all the next state level elections coming up. I did some more digging, and it does a...

I have pesonally heard it from somebody involved in that conflict that the Indian soldiers were sent into battle in the freezing heights of the Himalayas with canvas shoes! Iro...

Got to give it to Nitishwa who despite having only about 5% votes as his vote bank has driven a tough bargain. Has BJP conceded too many seats?
