The prediction was that just how advani became "statesman" when modi came up - modi too would become "statesman" when yogi or Amit comes up.
Never though that the call for that would start from this side of the spectrum though

What RD says is true. If UPA comes back - you are looking at total shutdown of all opposition and the sort of vengeful witch hunt that will affect us personally and directly.

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
On one hand, I feel like showing a finger to this ban and burn up whatever fireworks I can gather. But as a citizen, I feel it is my duty to follow the law of land, irrespective of my personal beliefs. So this is a real dharm sankat for me. Ban is only on selling in NCR no? Nothing stops from onlin...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
Genuine question: why isn't anyone asking Delhi govt (AAP) to bring in an ordinance? Don't they have jurisdiction on this fire cracker ban in Delhi? It's not like this is a law and order issue which comes under the Centre. Why would they do that when this issue can be used to beat BJp with. If env ...

Dmk has been very deft in using humor, heckling, righteous outrage, modifying funny dialogues and pics from movies etc to successfully do disinfo, misinfo, half truths, bait n switch, obfuscate and plain old flooding tactics etc to change perception, narratives and many gullible have bought into that.

I've been to their factory in WB actually. Worst plant ever visited. Workers openly drinking out of their oil cans (filled with alcohol and smuggled inside) ...one board claiming that number of hammers used has reduced from X to Y ..when it should really be zero

Everybody likes to say they have fond memories of amby but nobody will put their money where their mouth is. HM had all the opportunities to diversify product range and grow. Ambys days reflect our failures more than success.

We had the old yezdi of 70s. They stopped it after onslaught of jap-Indian makes starting late 80s. There was a relaunch model - roadking. It did not pick up as people were more kmpl conscious. Splendor gives 80 and yezdi will give 35 at best. It's a collector thing now, as well as the RD350.

I don't think it will be anything disruptive while system is recovering/adjusting from the twin shocks of demo and GST.
tests? in a way that's disruptive as well..not sure it will be that.
some major welfare scheme looks a good bet.

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
they could not bring liquor under GST...so why would modi ban liquor..quite a ridiculous thought coming from fevered imaginations of hecklers.
the little tweaks of GST, purchase limits for PAN etc do not warrant a prime time address by modi.

lets have a game here..make your predictions
I predict something about economy. probably a new scheme. i don't think it will be about GST as a big bang reform/correction is not due as it is still fresh.
