is US domestic politics discussions allowed? things are heating up with Mueller's investigations. Looks like Flynn might cut a deal. Looks like classic case of how they take down mafia..by building cases moving up the chain and having people below give up the guy above and so on. Why not? Open a th...

Re: Goods & Service Tax (GST)

RM, You bring up a good point. People are quick to blame businesses and it is hard to run an honest business in India. Some people suggested that GST should be collected on milk and meat as only vegetables are necessary for human consumption. It’s crazy. GST is a good idea for expanding the tax base...

KJo, This is been happening for a long time, but now there is evidence with smart phones using social media, dating, hex and hexting apps. See this crazy story where the 22 yr old science teacher was having an affair with teenage boy. Parents of boy got his phone and informed police. http://www.foxn...

Lust is all. Lust drives the species. Lust is what caused us to split into more cells. When love is spent, lust is all that glitters and glimmers. Much like the swift passing vision of an oasis for weary travelers trudging through this dreary world. Either that or you get a TKiran karela special. :)

Re: Nukkad

One of the problems I have experienced is that many Indians get very touchy and sensitive when one raises issues in how Indian processes work. For example, 18 months ago, I had trouble renewing the PIO card for my son and the process was equivalent of getting a new card. Many members here justified...

Yeah. The Rajputs in Rajasthan are unhappy at the portrayal. There is a long history in the Mewar region between Kumbalgarh and Chitorgarh.

Why is there such halla gulla about Padmavati. Who the hell really cares. Now Prakash raj wants the PM to resign over the Padmavati issue. http://voiceofdeccan.com/2017/11/21/shut-the-everybody-i-dont-care-about-padmavathi/ Because it is completely false. There was no love affair between Khalji and...

SHQ and I saw this Sammy fridge at a store just recently. The massive 21.5" screen and cameras for viewing your food was interesting. SHQ was intrigued.

Re: Phone, Tablet & Gizmo Thread

Our main fridge is a LG french door with the 2 freezer/chiller drawers. The bottom one is freezer onlee while the top drawer can be converted to a chiller - which is what we use it as. It has a door in door design and is quite spacious even though its counter depth onlee. The ice maker is much slim...

What do you guys think about Padmavati debate? Fiberals are outraging over Karni Sena while there is zero talk on whether a filmmaker can tamper with history. I strongly feel that there may not be any romantic scene between Allaudin and Padmavati, however they may try to portray Allaudin as "Ashok"...

So, I finished binge watching "The Punisher" on Netflix and then it curates other titles for me based on previous watching history....I watch action, sci-fi and documentaries. About the 3rd title recommended for me was a 2015 BBC Documentary on "How Gay is Pakistan". :rotfl:

Looks like Vina got Surajsan pissed off about trolling about steel for IR and got banned on BRF. yup, hefty in price.. but heard its camera is 2 1/2 years ahead in terms of its competitors. Note 8 is close near $1000k, but I got BOGO with goodies - wireless charger and 128gb sd.
Having briefly played with both, the Note 8 screen is absolutely beautiful.

The iPhone X is hefty. Till Fruit comes out with an iPhone thinner and lighter than iPhone 6 I am not buying a new one. According to AAPL all new iPhones will use face recognition camera. In the future, we may see two iPhones, a large and small. So you may get your wish next year. What is disturbin...

Apparently, Thor Ragnarok had the 2nd best opening weekend in India this year raking in around $5 Million...compared to $56 Million from Chinese BO. I hope it puts a damper on the property prices in the California Bay Area but somehow I doubt it will be my much as the main driver is funny money from abroad. The locals aren't that cash rich. So old mortgage interest deductions are still kept in place for existing mortgages and the new caps only apply for new mortgages going forward? The new tax plan leaves 401 alone at 18k (actually it is more this year at 18600) and hopefully the catchup. But it leaves only the prop tax deduction but not state tax deduction. I am confused. there are sections who strongly believe that pretty girls are attracted to men with DLSRs. not so much to compact camera or phone cam users. I know a gora electronics technician in his late 50s who does lots of portraiture. When he sees a pretty girl, usually a waitress or retail employee, he talks...
