Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
I think there is an economic factor in Saurashtra than the patel agitation alone. Its hard to cater to such a large area by water from one dam situated far away from the region. Drinking water may be, but not water for irrigation or industries. Narmada water will not make a significant dent to the e...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
Its not fair to the BJP to expect them to undo decades of unfair laws to Hindus. It will take time and BJP should be give at least 15 to 20 years to bring change. Some of the things BJP has done 1. FCRA restrictions on missionary funding and NGOs. Its a on going process and action continues to be ta...

Congress is winning 55% of rural seats to BJPs 45%. I think there is no way to satisfy rural voters except industrialize and urbanize them.
Urban Seats: 85% BJP, 15% Congress.

OK, the only region Congress made gains was in Saurashtra where it gained 15 seats. So is it caste or lack of progress? We know that Saurashtra is the most backward region of backward. Did not Narmada project not make a difference? How to make gains in Saurashtra? Are patels more in number in Sauras...

anybody catching the slump of Cook? a few years ago, the "wisdom" was that Cook will overtake SRT based on his then average. then he lost captaincy and if he doesnt score, might be out of team as well. I am. And I was one of those who believed he has a real chance of overhauling SRT's aggregate. At...

Re: Cricket
Actually, no country has batsmen who can play swing bowling, with the exception of perhaps England. Look at how Australia has been shot out for low scores (including a 60 allout) even in test matches in recent years. They lost the ashes in England with some pretty poor scores. They won where the pit...

I get the feeling that BJP played too dirty in Gujarat. It could just be my perception but BJP did seem more desperate in Gujarat. Compared to this, their UP campaign seems more dignified and confident. I am referring to the Hardik Patel viral videos, that Ahmed Patel poster (Which MSM alleged was ...

Just heard NaMos speech in Mehsana. I don't speak Gujarati, but its close enough to Hindi to get the gist of what he was saying. He did not dwell on the 'neech' comment too much but enough to drive home to point. He is portraying as an insult to poor people and to Gujaratis. The crowd was huge, enth...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
Modi is going to town with the 'neech' comment. He is bringing up all past such comments by SG and RG. He is also bringing up the 'remove him' comment of MSA made in pukistan after all this time. Either he is going for the kill or he senses it is a close fight. Congress is certainly making a lot of ...
