Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

Any idea which states imports food stuff from Pakistan? What stuff do they supply which India does not produce enough? And the next whine has started that India is denying water to poor Pakistan (when actually India is actually just claiming the right %-age of its water share). I'm not sure which s...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

Now vernaculars are stirring up noise about vegetable prices rising because of stopping imports from Pak.

Sick people, they don't mind funding the enemy as long as it serves them with cheap imports. And then people want to believe India will be the next superpower.

Re: Social Media Thread

All very good questions saar. At least Khujliwaal has become a laughing stock now - but that too after gaining 67 out of 70 seats in the assembly. Makes you wonder how easy it is to sway the abdul on the street with some baksheesh. You would think that, but believe it or not, there are still people...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

On another note, how come the EC hasn't declared the election dates yet?

The new parliament needs to be in place by may 21st. That means there is about 3 months to vote and count.. and with the long drawn out phasing of polling that happens with general elections, it feels a bit late.

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

On a less facetious note, in LS 2014 BJP contested 427 seats (and won 282, a 66% success rate). As far as LS 2019 elections, they are almost upon us. There is now no question of "building voteshare". Obviously building vote share takes time, I was talking about longer time. But then again, common s...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

I am happy that BJP is making alliances, but the BJP needs to increase its own vote share and decrease it's reliance on allies. Today's allies are tomorrow's does. Nitish is a prime example, that snake will bite whenever he feels it'll help him, just as all the allies

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

Most government websites are rubbish. There's no fixing that until the government itself tries to better serve people. The current websites aim to just dump everything in one place without considering aesthetics or user experience. Anyway.. crams is right.. Modi doesn't look like he's serious about ...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

This is why we need to learn from Israel and start preemptive strikes. They need to be regular enough to not make it into the news. If we can't react after the fact, then India needs to grow some balls and act before the fact. As I've said on innumerable times, showing restraint only gets you kudos ...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

For this attack, Pakis should pay in blood. Why should we not cross IB and carve Paki land right now? As usual, we will get multiple folks advising against war, scared of the nukes but I would bet my right arm that even if India took over complete Pakistan, they will not use their nukes. And for th...

Respectfully disagree. If he doesn't do anything, his 56" will start being made the gag.. what happened to Mr. 56"? This is a no loose situation, I'm sure there are hundreds of targets that can be engaged. They should go for it and call it retribution for the 18 lives lost. India has never gained an...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

Indian news channels are reality shows. Nothing informative ever comes on there. I never watch them. But a lot of people watch similar reality shows in local languages. So I would recommend BJP send some gondas like congoons do. The whole objective should be to shout everyone down. Waste of time try...

i know sponsored content is ads. It is bizarre for a legitimate news organization to pay money to another news organization to sell their news (yes I know these are sellout news organizations yada yada). Like any advertisement, the purpose is to communicate a message. Who to, is a matter of specula...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

Have to agree with chetak. His predictions are as rubbish as everyone else's. But it's not due to dishonesty. It's because the model he's using doesn't work in India. The previous model where he interviewed people, was good but understandably expensive. The worst part of his current modeling is, it ...

The other thing about The Hindu "expose" on Rafale deal. Are these files so openly available, almost ...

No. You are confusing what I was implying. I don't believe there is corruption at the top level of the Indian government. Absolutely not. I'm talking about BJP, the party. Mostly, at state level. There, corruption is present. I'm sorry if you thought I meant Modi or central government ministers are ...

It's not personal attack. You called the budget big disappointment while everyone saying it is blockbuster. You keep telling how BJP failed when it comes to Hinduthva. Now you are saying BJP is as corrupt as Congress. I said it’s a disappointment because that’s what it is. The tax exemption only ap...

Guys, I have been following the drama of Jihadi Mamta and the support to her from entire Lutyen mafia and thugbandhan. And what I find particularly troubling is the manner in which this cabal is dismissing with contempt that BJP is any less corrupt than the thugbandhan. One of the key planks of BJP...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

The numbers are alarmingly high and much of it is crypto so it will not be caught in any census. This is also the plan B after the loss of the LTTE and eelam migrating to the back burner. Those who underestimate number game in vote bank politics should be alarmed by this. I wonder why mathematician...
