AFAIK the "C" in OBC stands for "Class", Including mainorities was always part of the plan from the beginning (unlike SC/ST).

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )
Folks should stop blaming the people. Our ideal politician should follow the principal's of sama, dana, danda and bheda. In a democracy that means explaining one's policies to those who will listen, bribing the ones who are willing to be bought, ripping open chasms when advantageous and hounding the...

Election id cards are extremely easy to get, there is hardly any sort of verification at all. Names are removed from the rolls in (seemingly) random fashion and almost anybody applying gets new cards. Without aadhar linking it just cannot be fixed.

The 40l illegals biometrics need to be recorded, so that they can never get govt ID cards, or if they already have it they can be removed (via aadhar). That will be a first step, deportation is a long way away.

Re: Election Discussions - National, State etc
Its time to break the jds once and for all IMO its better to break the congress than jds (at least in theory). It will be advantageous to deal with multiple regional (mostly cast based hereditary) parties rather a single national opposition, with lutyens at the top. Congress mukt bharat will only h...

Re: Election Discussions - National, State etc
if you look at this prediction posted on reddit a while back and compare results it went mostly as expected - the middle class and itvity areas of blr all went with bjp. peaceful and low income (cash based voting) went with INC. INC did have a few good candidates. https://i.redd.it/ylwieishyvu01.pn...

Re: Indian IT Industry
Don't see what is wrong in IT unions (Ok may be that's not the right term). Over the last 2 decades the real pay for IT munnas has eroded to below (or at best on par) blue collar labor, yet they have no real safeguards. And IT companies behavior has been no better than cronies, gobbling up huge tax ...

Any update on the Assam NRC first draft release? From the news reports it seems that they have released 1.9 crore names of the 3.29 crore as 'legal'. I was hoping that there was also a list of confirmed 'illegals' (apart from 'legal' and 'yet to be determined').

Once they are reduced to the state they are in UP, Bihar etc in rest of the country only then they will become irrelevant. So winning elections is not enough, BJP will...

JL was complete bokwas, all these comic book movies have started to look like each other, with predictable plot, same aesthetics for characters and CGI effects etc. And what's the deal with cubes? Transformers and Thor/Avengers had the same cube thing.

As per today's ToI the top Indian IT companies have seen employee head count remain flat over the last quarter, with only TCS and one other company seeing a slight growth. This is the time of the year that most of the passouts from engineering colleges should be joining the companies.
