Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )
Its hard to take twitter pundits seriously. If you support BJP, you follow certain handles and feel happy when you see good news about the party. That PP guy is milking them and making good money out of it. They all previous december elections wrong so i hope there is no complacency happens this tim...

There is no anti Congress mood, and thats my worry . so Modi really needs to target RaGa. Like those shazhada jibes, Congress just doesnt take humor well, and will only resort to abuses. Modi really needs to put pressure on Congress and dicate terms, rather than just a pro-BJP campaign.

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )
Every seat this LS is gonna be like presidential elections, where just 2 candidates matters. And with voting on caste, religion lines plus demographics turnout, this mega alliance start with 40% plus default votes. So how BJP gonna reach the near 50% vote share per seat necessary to win the seat? Wo...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )
2019 isn't about anti-Modi. It's the pro individual value of AY, Maya, MB etc collectively beats Modi. So a pro-Maya person who dislikes SP but will still vote for them. BJP isn't getting any anti-mahagathbandhan votes as well as those anti-AY, anti-Maya etc votebank. So BJP votes can just be restri...

Imo, expect more bollywood stars, ex-cricketers to join BJP for LS. Remember in 2014, it was still taboo to support BJP openly. in 2019, this is big issue for BJP, it's only one pro( Modi), there is no other name with any pro-value. And thus, I guess there will more celebs for that very reason.

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )
Karnataka/UP had triangular contest. And there were regions within states where one side was stong. These 3 states are straight contest, and not much difference within states. Exit polls probably will be closer to reality this time unfortunately it seems...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )
Miserable 1 week ahead. Only Jan Ki Baat exit poll, has shown BJP-Congress near equal is the 3 states. Other surveys showing Congress edge in MP, big lead in case of Rajasthan and 50-50 in CH. It will be interesting to see how BJP deals with a demoralised cadre. Many BJP voters might just stay at ho...

What's happening with NRI voting? With Modi great outreach to them, it makes sense to involve them for 2019. It can bring some crucial additional votes for BJP...

Re: Election Discussions - National, State etc
The dismal voting percentage in Bangalore is my worry. BJP will lose a lot of urban seats if their middle class voters don't come out to vote. BJP needs to find new ways to get them to vote. Also, what's happening with NRI being able to vote from overseas ? Surely, that should be one of BJP target f...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
Highly unlikely. The SP and BSP rank and file cadre (what is left of it) mistrust each other extremely, let alone their votebanks. In the last election, SP voters asked why the eff they should vote for Pappu. Wasn't the same said about RJD/JDU, let's not kid ourselves. To be fair, this is not a new...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - Oct 2017
This mahathugbandhan didn't even campaign in many areas, shows how voters had already made up their mind. That doesn't bode well for BJP. So >15% Muslims in states, and complete opposition unity, I don't see how BJP can win.
