Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but it definitely is worth reading. From Francois Gautier, a man I admire greatly, having met him in person. A true Indophile and writer par excellence. I think the list is spot on, though by no means exhaustive. Does not hold any punches. The names are all so familiar to us.

I met him once Primus at the Arsha Bodha ashram in New Jersey. I think it was during that time that he was trying to promote the Shivaji Museum in Pune. He was trying to collect funds of that stage. I’m glad to see that it has finally come about and hopefully once I get back to India I will definitely make a trip down there.
Reading that list though it can make for depressing reading when you try to take the skiing of so many powerful people backed by huge governments and organizations with limitless financial reserves it seems. There is another thread here where hopefully we can start to influence countries and states where we have had in the historical presence before. Perhaps some of the revival can begin in Southeast Asia again.
Today this article, in Swarajya brought a little smile to my face as well. Let’s see how she does over the next few months.

I've been a supporter of Tulsi's campaign from the beginning. However, I doubt America is ready for a woman President, much less a Hindu. In fact I expect her faith to be attacked much more than anything else, tarnishing the entire religion along with it.

ABC news yesterday morning was showing highlights of the first debate and did not show a single clip of Tulsi, kept showing Warren and the others. Apparently they expect Warren to emerge as one of the top contenders. Somehow I find her as repulsive as I did Hilary.

On the topic of Hindu bashing in general, here is an amazing talk by Vivek Agnihotri, it is in Hindi but easy to understand. As always, he does not hold back. The stories are shockingly true and I am sure we are all experiencing it already, especially those of us living abroad. It is rather long, but well worth the effort.

Has anyone read through social media post has put out by Zaira Wasim? In it she goes on in extreme detail to explain why she is quitting the acting industry because it interferes with her faith over the last few years.

Coming as a youth from Kashmir she was often held up as a Role model and and Icon for other youngsters to follow. In her extensive and drawn out posting on why she would like to leave the acting industry, she has at least to my count has quoted the Koran at least 7 times. She has also made quotes from the hadith as well.

This is coming up from one of the Valley's most idolized youth. She met so many influential leaders over the years who congratulated her for breaking the stereotype and giving a name to Kasmiri youth

No doubt that she would like to try and portray herself as a hafiz...To my mind, she would have required a significant amount of instruction for her level of understanding.

It really does being to worrying picture for what Kashmiri youth view as their priorities.

100 year old temple vandalised in Purani Dilli amidst ‘Allah O Akbar’ slogans: Situation tense

https://www.india-aware.com/featured/10 ... ion-tense/
As per reports, a mob consisting of about 200 people entered the temple in that area and vandalised it. Also the group first entered the house and beat up a man and before targeting the temple. The incident soon flared up with some people of a different community vandalising a temple in the area, triggering communal tension.
A purported video of the incident released by Delhi MLA Kapil Mishra shows a mob vandalising a temple while shouting slogans like Allah O Akbar and Naara E Takbeer.

Guys we are one of the few media organizations to have gone on to investigate what happened with the temple vandalism in Delhi below. So really hot off the press as to what other pseudo secular media will not want to report on.
Please take a look and give us your comments.

Yes, I saw that and was wondering how such a young person was writing as she did and what level brain-washing she must have gone through. Your post clarifies a lot. Thanks.

Guys big day today. Lot of revelations going to take place with regard to India's budget. To some extent I wonder how Nirmala Sitharaman is going to take this on on such a short notice. She just got over taking care of defense and got thrown into finance. On some extent a little bit of a masterstroke I feel as not only she competent and aggressive but as the 1st female finance minister nobody will want to be too over bearing on her. I think she's done a fantastic job so far. Always thought that she was pretty eloquent in clearly making her point across. This goes back to when she was a spokesperson for the BJP.

I guess on a personal level on waiting to Important ministries such as defense as well as ISRO and allocation to Gagaanyaan. 2nd thing really that I had looking towards is defense as well as health sector. How much more towards Ayushman Bharat. How much towards Ganga Namami.... How will this budget be received by International media and BSE...

Good to see you Chetakji,

Congress-JDU is in the ICU!

Not sure How I feel about these defections. Right now it stands at 11 defections from the Congress - JDU. The math seems to totally right now the Congress JDU at 108 seats and the BJP at a 105. Of course if any of these eleven joined the BJP then they will be in a comfortable majority.

However it would still stand for a fickle government if these kind of crossovers has continued to happen. Nonetheless with this kind of Mass resignation the Karnataka government is really tottering.

The governor can only really choose a stable party and that must mean the BJP. However It should really not take too many more lawmakers for them to stake a stable claim.

The other issue is this twit Randeep Surjewala who really comes out with some choice acronyms. He constantly keeps crying to and pandering for foreign news media agencies with his constant Modi as dictator spiel...

Former R&AW Officers Accuse Ex-VP Hamid Ansari Of ‘Damaging Intelligence Operations’ In Iran; Ask Modi To Take Action

Former intelligence officers of the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) have reiterated serious allegations against ex-Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, accusing him of “damaging R&AW operations” while he was serving as India’s Ambassador to Iran between 1990 and 1992, reports Sunday Guardian.

They now want Prime Minister Narendra Modi to become involved in the matter, telling him in their complaint that Ansari passed on information about R&AW’s intelligence operations in Iran to Iranian authorities and the Iranian intelligence agency SAVAK, with the latter on four occasions abducting Indian diplomatic personnel.

The former R&AW officers assert that Ansari shirked his duty towards the nation when these incidents occurred by not revealing the full extent of the involvement of SAVAK to the Indian government.

It is also alleged that after he got to know that Indian Intelligence were maintaining a watch on the activities of Kashmiri youths who were travelling to Qom, Iran and receiving arms training, Ansari forwarded the information about the same and the name of the officer handling it to the Iranian Foreign Office who then gave it to SAVAK.

The officer in question was taken into captivity by the Iranian Intelligence following this.

These allegations were first made back in 2017, when the Intelligence officers first tried to get Modi to take action in the matter.

thank you saar.

Its looking more like a devious plot by siddaramiah to oust HDK, spite devegowda and occupy the CM's gaddi.

I have a sneaky suspicion that if HDK resigns, "the dirty thirteen" will take back their resignations and maybe split the JDS to hold on to power using the age old reasons of keeping the "communal" party out.

with the islamic banking scam on the front pages, no one can afford a rampaging BJP coming to power in KAR and on the hunt as many congi/JDS political lives may be sunk and destroyed in the aftermath of such an Investigation.

Congress MLAs from Bengaluru demand return of Siddaramaiah as Karnataka CM

Congress MLAs from Bengaluru demand return of Siddaramaiah as Karnataka CM

07th July 2019

BENGALURU: Several senior leaders from the Congress, including two MLAs from Bengaluru who had submitted their resignation, met on Saturday at Siddaramaiah’s residence to chalk out an action plan.

The meeting included AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal, Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara, KPCC working president Eshwar Khandre, minister D K Shivakumar and MLAs Ramalinga Reddy and Munirathna, who resigned on Saturday.

According to sources, both MLAs asked for Siddaramaiah to be brought back as CM, with H D Revanna occupying the Deputy CM’s post. With the real threat of other resignations - Ramalinga Reddy’s daughter Sowmya Reddy, Anjali Nimbalkar, K Sudhakar and others — the senior leaders discussed several scenarios to suitably accommodate the disgruntled legislators including those who had ‘flown away’.

But the price of Siddaramaiah returning as Chief Minister might be something that the current CM H D Kumaraswamy is unwilling to pay.

Siddaramaiah and other leaders including Venugopal have spoken to Kumaraswamy, but a lot will depend on his response.

“It is all about sharing the spoils of office--positions, power and money,’’ said an insider on the entire situation.

DK ShivaKumar now stands outside the hotel entrance in trying to intimidate the rebel MLA’s that have escaped to Mumbai. I’ll tell you little story about some of the journalists writers that I used to know in Bangaluru. Some of them used to contribute to our India Aware website. Frequently during election time I would ask them to write articles related to DK ShivaKumar. Most of them would be S#%% scared to do any such thing. There were all quite certain that DK has his eyes and ears everywhere and that he would come after them.

The man has the infamous relationship all over Karnataka of crushing his opponents if they don’t agree with his values. Hopefully they won’t let them into the hotel and the MLA’s will be protected. It seems that this is really changing on an hourly basis. Only worry is that even BJP comes to the power their majority also is a slim lead so that the same kind of scenario may exist for them as well. Unfortunately this could be a battle until the next round of state elections.

I wonder to what end. Does he mean that he will run for new elections to take place or will the JDS and Congress now sit in the opposition? With the stunning turnover in Goa, we can see that at least the MLA’s that are holding up in the Mumbai hotel may in fact maybe joining the BJP coalition as well. At least we can say that the government now in Goa is safe. BJP there will not need to really depend on minor parties or independents anymore. They have the majority on their own.

With Karnataka, if those rebel MLA’s do indeed join the BJP, then they will indeed have a safe majority in Karnataka as well to run the government to the next stage elections.
Honestly, never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined such a complete result. I can only hope now that Andhra and Telangana are next on the list to combat the evangelical surge that seems to be running through the state.
In any case, all in all a good development and I hope there was some quick resolution to Karnataka as well. It will mean that we have just completed one year since the state elections.
The BJP will have at least four years to govern the state before the next state elections.

I don't think the Karnataka MLAs can join the BJP. It has to be 1/3rd minimum otherwise the party can trigger anti-defection / horsetrading law. Goa is different because it meets the 1/3rd criteria.

Congoons are holding on tenaciously in Karnataka. It will be interesting to see what the end game will be. I also find it a bit surprising that Kumarswamy is being a tad non-chalant. Do Congoons have an ace up their sleeve when the floor test happens?

A powerful article above on these 10 Congress MLA'S joining the BJP. Many of them unfortunately have quite concerning corrupt cases against them. This includes Babush Monserrat Apparently someone who has great money power and accused of buying and raping a 15 year old girl. Partly this is really thrown a lot of karyakartas in Goa into disappointment. Not sure how this will really affect future polls as well. If they are any corruption cases Then I hope they continue to be Investigated. Also, I'm not really sure how it holds for BJP and its Hindu Bastion in Goa.....how many of these MLA's are Christian??

It is my hope that the BJP does not take up control of Karnataka even if they win the floor test. I will hope that they would dissolve the assembly and hold early elections. It is my hope that people have truly understood what the Christoons (Congoons+Christ) are really all about and give the BJP into bigger mandates. If not I think honestly that to slimmer margin to give them any comfortable control. If a couple of MLA's on the BJP side again then the same thing could happen in a few months again. We can see this kind of seesaw political battle over the next few years. Get it done better this time.
DK Shivkumar, it seems managed to scare one MLA into thinking of returning but as soon as he was away from DK presence, he shifted sites again. Just goes to show how shifty these MLA's can be.

Enjoying the public spat between Burka bibi and her erstwhile Godfather Kapil Sibal. Apparently, Kapil Sibal has closed down his channel after 6 months of launch leaving all the employees in lurch including Burka bibi and creep thappad without a job. I hope what I am saying is not fake news. This is what I gather from Burka's twitter feed.

This judge in India who asked Richa Bharti to distribute five qurans should himself be tried. I mean this is just simply ridiculous. From what I can tell in this article, she basically asks the question why are they disproportionately more terrorists coming from one religion as opposed to another. Why have they never been any Kashmiri Pandit terrorists. Everybody knows the answers to these questions. For speaking out loud in social media a Hindu Dhimmi Judge Manish Singh has decided to announce that Richa Bharti should distribute five qurans around the city.
It's only a wonder that he did not ask her to do so in full Nikab!

CPI, TMC, NCP May Lose National Party Status As Election Commission Gears Up To Issue Notices

CPI, TMC, NCP May Lose National Party Status As Election Commission Gears Up To Issue Notices

by Swarajya Staff
Jul 17 2019.

With Lok Sabha election results having been declared in May, the Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to issue show-cause notices to several national parties to justify their said status.

Of India’s eight national parties, Communist Party of India (CPI), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC) are under the ECI’s radar following their dismal performance in the general elections.

For a party to be registered as a national party it must meet one of the following criteria

A party wins 2 per cent of seats in the Lok Sabha from at least three different states.
At a general election to Lok Sabha or Legislative Assembly, the party polls 6 per cent of votes in any four or more states and in addition it wins four Lok Sabha seats.
A party gets recognition as a state party in four states.

The NCP and CPI along with BSP were facing the prospect of de-recognition as national parties after the 2014 LS polls too, but earned a reprieve as the ECI changed its review duration from five to 10 years. BSP, however, is better placed after the 2019 results.

National parties enjoy several benefits like reserved national symbol throughout the nation, free air time on Doordarshan and AIR and subsidised land for party offices among others.
