Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

The road to 2019 and 300+ seats now lie in lightening freebie run. Because Pappu will promise the moon and back, and our electorate is stupid enough to believe him as we have seen. Better for BJP to open the bank and dole out the dough than to have Congis ship half of it to Europe. People in Twitter...

Congress dissolves all Govt committees, councils, etc within week of grabbing power.

This is what Modi failed to do in 2014 when he was solid gold in people’s eyes and could do no wrong. He dithered and let the ecosystem in place.

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

It seems to be that people here on this forum are more disconnected from ground reality than anybody else. BJP had a tough time in GJ and even KA. Now losing 3 states (even if we have a good fight to the Congis) is a real threat for 2019. Some here are missing the realities of Indian voters, however...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

Absolutely right. Many small business owners & traders lost a few lakhs in DeMo while they see Mallya, Nirav Modi etc fly off with thousands of crores with no punishment (yet). Mallya & Nirav Modi could swindle funds mainly because of their relationship with the senior officials of PSU banks. And i...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

While certainly a reason, it would more affect the hand to mouth class who can be bought off with money power, their daily lives being a constant struggle. But it doesn't explain the sudden willingness of middle class to vote bjp. They all knew that bjp was in support of gst, constantly heard modi ...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

Let us be honest, Indians are not East Asians or Americans that they will work by a system, we are corrupt, lazy & freeloaders and we don't want anyone to disturb us when we are eating the pie someone else paid for. Then we need to be more honest and admit that INC and Nehru-Ghandis are our apt rul...

Re: POLL THREAD: Has NaMo's BJP Govt Done Enough for Hindu Causes?

Have we thought if Hindus actually want Modi to build RJB and do other 'Hindutva' stuff? I am skeptical that apart from some (~10%) of the Hindu population, rest don't give a rats ass to Hindutva. This is what I am increasingly seeing in cities & even tier 2 towns. Youth has drank too much of secula...

Mann ki baat is useless yapping. No one listens to it. I don't know why is it still a thing.

Instead he should start doing press briefings every 2 weeks from now on to drill down in the voter base what he did over 5 years.

Hate to post anything from BJP/ModiJi hating pseudo liberal toadies, but just thought this particular opinion piece by Amulya Ganguly is not bordering on hate, but makes the claim that Demo was the cause of BJP's defeat. And he does cite a plausible reason in that once cash was take out of farmers'...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

Demo and GST haven't gone down well because people haven't seen the benefits. Traders were collecting tax from consumers but not transferring to govt. When GST came in instead of replacement it was an addition because they became accountable. Taxes needed to be rapidly dropped. Instead stupid Bruce...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

A pretty damning defeat, specially in CG. RJ, there was tremendous angst against Raje and nobody in BJP expected to win, so that's that. But MP and CG were shockers. Nobody can pinpoint what went wrong, specially with the kind of thrashing in CG. Foreign money or church influence cannot be discounte...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

I thought Ayushmaan bharat would help. But it fell flat. The premise was that Modi has won over rural poor with his schemes for gas, toilets, pakka ghar, cutting of middleman in agri, health insurance. But it did not show here. Do Indian people even want development? I am no longer sure.

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

I cant understand why we lost these states? I thought MP, CG were in the bag. No real leadership challenge by the Congis + strong BJP local leadership. What went wrong? I am guessing Congis beat BJP in social engineering, their good old divide & rule method. I don't think the 'core awakened' Hindus/...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 3 (Oct 2018 - )

Guys, doesn't BJP have any it-vitty folks, or even some friend in Bollywood to be able to dig up some 'metoo' dirt on the Khan Honchos: Aaamir, Salma, Sharukh, and Saif Ali (guy who named his son Taimur after the Mughal barbarian)? Seeing their public brash behavior, I cannot believe they haven't d...

I disagree, M. J. Akbar will have to resign or else one expects he will be fired. It is abundantly clear now that he has been a serial molester. We have to agree to disagree or we have to disagree without being disagreeable :-). Also go easy on the use of word "Bimbo", I don't know what part of Ind...

Re: Love & Marriage Nukkad

All this feminism drama has ruined societies in the west and is now ruining our own. Take this MeToo drama being played on Twitter. Who are the victims? I am not talking about women that have been victims of violent sexual assault or unwelcome sexual attention. My blood boils on their stories. But l...

Sad to see an ex army guy like Ajay Shukla become such a paid propagandist for Pappu and Queen madam After observing the forces for quite some time, I now don't keep any "extra respect" to the officer class of the forces. There are good and bad apples, just like any where else. Was'nt an IAF office...

Re: The Great Indian Political Drama - 2 (Mar 2018 - )

Srikumar guru, point noted & well taken. My frustration is that in certain communities/states - majorly Bengalis, Mallus & to an extent Tamils - Hindus are readily lapping up Islamist & EJ separatist+superiority propaganda against fellow Hindus & even the country. We all know what Muslims & Christia...
