Re: Nukkad

This king cobra is a really scary beast. Imagine the venomousness of a regular cobra but with 3 times the length, and as thick as a python. It is unbelievable, except that is actually exists. I heard that it is an extremely aggressive type of snake (which typically try to avoid human contact).

^^Thanks for your response on the L&M thread on the Kerala situation. SM could well make the difference between victory and defeat.....just 1% vote swing in critical areas will make the different between running the govt and sitting in opposition with 48% of the MPs (or MLAs as in Karnataka). No it is anxiety for most people except a few tolls. 2019 is going to be challenging as no non-Congress govt so far has retained power on this scale. I agree. I would caution people against accusing posters of being agents etc. Not constructive. Lilo's post was very constructive in that he did some...

Another news which also highlights the sad case of lots of young men in KL not finding brides. Why is this? The M/F ratio is in KL is supposed to be the 'best' in India (i.e. more females than males) as far as I know. Is it because of some religious-type reasons? Or is it a case of people from othe...

Two more items that can go on the list: * Haj subsidy withdrawn. Money to be applied to women's causes. *Another is the requirement of an adult male to accompany Haj women: requirement removed- this may not be seen as a major thing, but govt did opine and act in an area long considered to be out of ...

^^^ Nice constructive post. Factual. The only thing I'll add as missing is govt. control of temples (is that a 'state subject', and if not, does it require Rajya Sabha approval?). The other things are: control of NGOs, which the govt. has done something about, control of surreptitious foreign money ...

...well, if the train of thought is that death penalty as a punishment for rape of minors may motivate the rapists to kill, how about adding death penalty if the rapist has killed the child (as happened in Kathua). Same logic would suggest that the rapist will now try to keep the child alive, thereb...

I know this because I saw a video of an Indian general (youtube) who had served in that region around 2001 or 2002 timeframe and he made it a point to mention that the Bakawal muslims told the army that the fig...

Good to see Yogi saab recognizing freedom fighters who fought against the British. Surely, no one can have an issue with this. OT but I studied in ICSE for a couple of years.
